Was looking for an inexpensive computer to use with my audio interface, as my current laptop is near EOL. Was looking for another laptop but saw these refurbished SFF Dell desktop computers. Since the laptop has not moved from its spot on my desk for several years, I thought I’d save some $ and get a desktop. After several days of reviewing the available units on Amazon and reading the questions and customer reviews, I purchased this Dell Optplex 7050 and am satisfied with my purchase so far. The computer looks to be in very good shape, and everything was included as described by the seller. Setup was reasonably easy. Only issue was something rattling around inside the unit. Upon removing the cover, I found a small blue pin jumper and hope it was mistakenly left inside the unit by the technician and not one that came loose during shipment. Since everything is working so far, I’m assuming it’s okay. Pro’s: Unit included a Type-c port which the audio interface unit has. Case is in very good condition. The inside was very clean. After many years of using computers with HDD’s this computer is very quiet. Price Boot up and operation is very quick. Size, as easy to carry around as a laptop. It will be relocated to my guitar room. Includes an office 365 trial or a minimum feature free version with a monthly cost upgrade option. Not sure what to do with this yet. I have older versions of Office that I had purchased, and I would rather use those if I can. Included a wired keyboard and mouse, Wi-Fi and BT USB plugins. (See the cons for more on the keyboard) Con’s The loose jumper. I may look into this further and contact tech support. I noticed a smell in my den where the computer is setup and realized it’s the keyboard that smells. I have other keyboards so this is going to the trash or Goodwill. The keyboard and mouse have the seller's logo on them so maybe the cheap plastic or circuit boards stink. It’s a generation 6 CPU so I can’t upgrade to Windows 11 but may not care with its intended use? Wrap up: at this point in time, this is intended to be a very positive review and I have no buyer's remorse. In fact, I’m so pleased, I am looking at the Dell 7060 Mini Tower renewed computers (with gen 8 CPU) as the replacement for my old laptop, as my everyday computer. ... show more

I'm really satisfied with this desktop and the seller. I'd been looking for a Small Form Factor (SFF) or mini desktop for not too much money, with decent storage, DDR4 memory and, ideally, NVMe capability. The unit itself, as sold, had 16G of DDR4 RAM (which I upgraded to 32; max 64) and a SATA 1TB SSD (which I swapped out for a 1TB NVMe but kept the SATA internally as a second drive). I had an issue caused by a peripheral I added later that created some driver/bootup conflicts (not a fault of the computer but the external device) and wanted to reinstall Windows 10. Ran in to an issue with this, so I called up the seller STG (Skye Tech?) and they were super helpful. Full props to them. Managed to turn off BitLocker and run Macrium Reflect quickly and painlessly to clone the original disk. The machine is blazing now, and I'm able to run multiple apps, including Python programs for data science, with terrific performance. It was great out of the box too, even without my upgrades. The minor downsides of this purchase (and some suggestions to the seller, not necessarily drawbacks) are as follows: - Would be great if the Kingfast SATA ssd was just replaced with an inexpensive SP NVMe. Given current prices, they cost basically the same while performance is about 10x with NVME (based on Crystaldiskmark stats) - The wired keyboard and mouse are basic and primitive (eg. no media controls). For a few bucks more, they could have easily included a wireless set instead - the wifi dongle is not dual-band (ie. only 2.4G) and the bluetooth is a separate dongle,not integrated with the wifi. It all works even with the above, but again, minor changes would make major enhancements. I spent just a few bucks and got the config I wanted. Overall, great value purchase for a DDR4 NVMe 4GHz Windows 10 machine for under $200 (plus some nominal $ spent for minor personal upgrades, all relatively painless). Plus even more upgrade potential for RAM, disk, ports etc etc should I need them in the future. ... show more

Work long enough to get through tax season, now all my business records are gone. My bad for not backing the records up. But my 10 year old Dell still works. Major failure, not coming back. My advice is to think twice before buying a refurbished unit.

The listing describes this pc as having wifi and bluetooth, but it does not. The unit came with a lot of visible damage to the outside. There is no wifi card installed at all. The seller sent this wifi dongle in the box, but after 15 minutes of use the dongle overheated (literally scalding to the touch) and stopped working so no wifi now. The seller did offer a replacement dongle, but I wish I received a pc with built in wifi as insinuated by this listing and like listed on dells website. Does handle two monitors okay, havent checked with the third monitor yet. I would not buy again. I took away 1 star for no wifi and bluetooth and 1 star for all of the damage to the exterior. I want to take away another just because I feel misled by the listing, but I wont. ... show more
