  • Excellent. Very Happy With This Dell Desktop.
I've been needing a new desktop forever now, as my old Dell Optiplex GX620 has basically become a dinosaur, and should have went to the PC graveyard a while ago. Prices on new PC's, with what I wanted in it, are at least $500+ at the minimum, and totally not in my budget, so refurbished was the way to go. I've been looking at refurbished desktops for months now, on at least 5 different online stores known for having refurbished computers in excellent working condition, and have good customer service in case something goes wrong. After researching countless Dell desktop models (looking at everything that was selling for $200 or less, and had a minimum of Intel i-3, 4gb ram, an optical drive, at least 250gb HD, and an OS, but not required, I'll install it myself if the deals that good), i finally narrowed my choices to just a few. Some were here on Amazon, where i know that if i have a problem, I can get some customer protection, and a few others were on Discount Electronics, a reliable retailer. I finally decided on a Dell that had more than my minimum requirements in it, and was selling for about $170. When I was about to place my order, I decided to look one more time on Amazon (I've never order used electronics here before, so just went with retailers who were associated with Amazon's Renewed Guarantee, figuring I'd at least stand a chance of getting help if what I ordered was bad) and ran across this Dell 7020 SFF. This had more inside than any other i looked at this price (paid $148). I already knew that if this had all that was stated in the product description, it would be more than fast enough, and handle anything I planned on using it for easily. I decided on this model, but wanted to know if it had USB 3.0 ports built in, and if I could get Windows 7 Pro installed instead of the included Windows 10, as I've never been a fan of any of the upgrades in Windows. Just found them to be more complicated just to do the same things I'm already doing with Windows 7, but figure I'm going to have to upgrade next year when Microsoft stops support for Windows 7, so also wanted to know if the PC had the legal activation number on the desktop somewhere so I can upgrade when I'm ready. I contacted the seller, and they got back to me within 24 hours. Installing Windows 7 was no problem, and the legal activation code was included. Also, there are 4 3.0 USB ports built in this model. This model includes an Intel i-5 quad core CPU, USB 3.0 ports, 500gb HDD, 8gb RAM, a writable drive, Windows 7 Pro installed, and more, at under $150 bucks, so I'm sold and place my order. It arrived in 3 business days with FedEx, signature required, so absolutely no complaints with shipping, just as good as Prime with UPS. It was packaged extremely well, with plenty of bubble wrap protecting it from bouncing around, or getting damaged in shipment. When I took it out of the box, I was extremely pleased with it's condition. If you didn't know it was refurbished, you'd think it was a new PC. Absolutely no scratches, dents, or marks on it at all. The black coating looked new, and any chrome grill that Dell's are known to have on some models looked just as new. I took the panel off to look inside, and it was just as clean. No dirt, dust, or anything else I could find to make a negative review on. Condition was 5 stars, and couldn't be better. I finally said goodby to my old GX620, and this new Dell took its place on my desk. I plugged in my wired Ethernet cable for internet, and my old Dell monitor, my Logitech dongle, and got this puppy up and running to see how well it was working as a refurbished model. This does include a WiFi dongle, but haven't installed the drivers for it as yet, I rarely use WiFi on my desktop, it's wired straight to my Netgear CM600 cable/modem. Startup time was just a few seconds, and Windows was up and running, needing setup with files from old PC. I did a Windows Easy Transfer over the network, and had about 40gb of files to transfer (not much really) and started the process. It was actually incredibly fast, and probably would have been even quicker if not for my old GX620 slowing up the process, kinda like a new Ram pickup trying to tow an old Chevy with it's brakes locked up and being dragged down the highway. The last time I did this process it took hours, this was done in under 45 minutes. Fast forward to the next day, after all is setup how I want it. When I go to my desk now and hit the power button, there's no time now to get a cup of coffee and come back, and Windows is just getting ready to start after a 10 minute wait. It's literally just seconds from power on to having my Firefox browser up and running. Clicking a link to another page is almost instant, and the new page completely loaded in a second. For me, it's like a whole new world. I'm used to pages sometimes literally taking minutes to load. I've used the USB ports a few times, and they are as fast as I've read them to be. Downloading anything is just as quick, unless it's a very large file, and that's still pretty quick. The i-5 4570 is everything It's cracked up to be. I can only dream of what the new i-9 can do, but for now I couldn't be happier. I did a lot of research before I placed an order. Now I'm glad I did. I knew what I needed, and what was most important to already have installed, and what could be upgraded over time (this Dell 7020 is new enough that almost all of it can be upgraded if desired, and has PCI and PCIe low profile slots available). After using this for a week now, I'm very happy. No hiccups at all with this refurbished model. Speed is more than enough for me, and as far as upgrading, the only thing I'll consider for now is possibly a SSD, but it's not really necessary at the moment. The Dell 7020 SSF was a good choice. If you're needing a new desktop, and considering a refurbished Dell, I can highly recommend this 7020, from REUSETEK (the seller). I'll update this review in 30 days to see how well things are going. ... show more

  • Good Little Workstation for the Price
The computer works great for what I need - replaced the mechanical hard drive with a SSD to make it even faster. Everything was packaged well and came quickly. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the power cord was missing when I received it. I had an extra Dell power cord laying around, so didn't even bother to mess with contacting them. ... show more

  • ask a lot of questions and be persistent.
the computer itself seems fine. it seems to be a good value. basic product knowledge was nonexistent. i had trouble setting up the email, and everyone [ amazon, skytech and my internet provider] passed the buck as to who was responsible for the problem. problem was resolved after a lengthy ordeal with microsoft. i can not believe no one from amazon or skytech knew anything about the mail options on the computer. ... show more

  • Incredible Value! Like Brand New!
This DELL OptiPlex 7020-SFF PC astounded me the minute I opened the box. Packaging materials were top notch. The renewed unit looked absolutely brand spanking new and booted right away. The price alone was terrific for this PC, but the bonus keyboard, mouse and wi-fi dongle put it over the top.

  • Exactly what I needed then some!
I needed a home PC for a small home business to improve my worklow with printing receipts, labels, updating my site, etc. So I didn't need a beast of a computer and obviously money is tight still. I had seen some bad refurbished computers from various sites and sales apps so I was weary of what I would get. Some people got dirty machines, others the blue screen of death and so on. Let me just say, not the case here! Machine arrived fast, was well packaged and shrink wrapped. I opened up the unit to install a WiFi card (highly advise getting one, the USB ones are never fast) and it was pristine inside! Whole unit is immaculate with only the usual scratches and bluffs of a used machine. Windows booted up fine and I was up and running in 15 min. As far as performance, look it's not a gaming PC, I ran Minecraft for a little to feel it and it does play but it's got some lag which is to be expected. I do use it for AutoCAD Fusion 360 which with a few performance tweaks runs fine. Overall if you just need a PC for the usual uses like web browsing, online shopping, watching movies, running a small business this is the machine for you! ... show more

  • No HDMI
There is no HDMI in that tower PC, there is I think they call 4K or 8K otherwise you have to go old school and use DVI the one with teeth and screws

  • GREAT DESKTOP COMPUTER, very reasonable price.
Arrived in excellent condition. Up and running in an hour. My only concern is that no Operating System Installation Disc (or information was included), in case Windows 10 has to be re-installed. Also the Windows 10 Activation code is not provided(if needed in the future).
