The Good: Incredible price for an Intel I7 laptop and Windows 10 Pro Seems very rugged Looks new Acts new (comes ready to start configuring personal preferences). Everything seems to work. Puts out a lot of sound. Unverified: Presumably you can still access Dell's awesome re-installation tools. 256GB SSD No problem's with Windows 10 Pro license as some have noted, however please note that I never use Microsoft store or log in using a Microsoft account. The Bad: Heavy (about 5 lb) and thick. Looks and feels like a tank. No 5GHz Wifi (has 2.4GHz) No Bluetooth Sound quality suffers, at least on high volume (rattle/over-driven) Dell ID sticker is difficult to read. Looks like it got partly wiped away during cleaning. Device Manager shows SSD as 128GB. I did a lot of testing and finally convinced myself it really is 256GB. Overall: As far as deals go, this is a great one. It was in excellent shape upon receipt with no obvious defects. It was packaged in a generic box with a power-supply and (I think) nothing else. It's a business computer and looks and feels like one. I haven't really evaluated battery life or graphics. It works, feels like it will last, has some power to it (based on the processor type and startup times), and should still be useful for many years. I bought this b/c I'd had a Dell before (from work) and it was similar to this one. I liked that PC a lot as it was fast, easy to use, sturdily built and had buttons on the touchpad (something hard to find these on newer laptops). However, this one was terribly slow and basically didn't work at all; everything just froze and never loaded properly. Perhaps a different unit would give a better experience; however, the refurbishing didn't work well with this particular PC. On a positive note, I've returned it and that process was/is magnificent. Definitely worth the bucks; a refurb unit from an EXCELLENT seller (looking at you ItGuy). I have to admit, I've never had a bad refurb through Amazon, but these guys went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The DVD drive was DOA but was replaced after one email. The machine itself is quite robust and plenty of power for the photo editing, videos, light coding, and other non-gaming stuff my wife does. It even looked new. We've relied on Dell laptops as our number one pick for two decades now and were not disappointed in this little unit. ... show more

    • Terrific computer and wonderful seller but one slight downfall
There is no way the laptop could have passed "all diagnostic tests" as stated - the keyboard mouse caused laptop to freeze multiple times and had to re-start to un-freeze. Finally Windows went to the full "reset this PC" blue screen and we ran the full Windows reinstall which takes a long time. In years of troubleshooting and updating other used laptops and PCs could this laptop be said to "work like new". Many significant Dell drivers including BIOS update were missing and were only found using the Dell Support Assistant system scanner. The good news is that the seller gave us a fantastic discount for the trouble. My only beef is that on this model, the keyboard "END" button is at the top rather than bottom right which is the logical place and where I'm used to it and the arrow keys are tiny. After years on my 3440 Latitude this is taking some getting used to but I LOVE the speed and ease of typing! ... show more

I understood from the description that I should expect a very nice refurb unit, but it really did exceed my expectation. One or two very minor scuffs on the cover, the rest of the unit inside and out was perfect. This is a very powerful and very fast laptop (8 gigs RAM, 256 SSD hard drive, i7 2.9 processor, win 10 pro). I don't know if the battery is new but I had it running for 3 hours and still had more than 50% life in it. If only it had a touchscreen I would have bought another for my home (not needed for my office since I use a mouse and keyboard). Bottom line... Wow. Very pleased ... show more

    • Great computer bad battery
Love the computer. Worth every penny but the battery is not compatible so it randomly cuts off and I have to send it back.
