Brand New and Defective on Arrival – Completely Unusable This was sold and purchased as a brand new laptop, not refurbished, which makes this situation even more unacceptable. Out of the box, the device was completely nonfunctional. On first startup, it immediately displayed a critical hardware error stating that the hard drive was not installed or detected. There was no way to proceed—no operating system access, no setup—nothing. The laptop is essentially a $959 paperweight. This is not a minor defect. This is a complete hardware failure that should have been identified during even basic quality control testing. For a “new” device at this price point to arrive in this condition is extremely concerning. I purchased this for professional use and had scheduled work commitments that were directly impacted because of this failure. Receiving a non-working computer caused significant disruption, delays, and unnecessary stress. This experience raises serious concerns about the seller (“USA Computers”) and whether products advertised as new are properly inspected—or even truly new—before being shipped. I will be returning this immediately and will not be purchasing from this seller again. Buyers should proceed with caution. Initial Defect, But Seller Responded Quickly and Made It Right I originally received this laptop as a brand new Dell Latitude 7450, but unfortunately the first unit arrived nonfunctional. Upon startup, the system displayed a critical error indicating that the SSD (hard drive) was not detected, making the laptop unusable right out of the box. This was very frustrating, especially since I purchased it for professional use and had scheduled commitments that were impacted. However, I want to update my review to reflect the excellent response from the seller (USA Computers). After contacting them, they responded quickly, acknowledged the issue, and shipped a replacement immediately, which arrived the very next day. They also provided a return shipping label for the defective unit, making the process smooth and hassle-free. The replacement laptop arrived in working condition and has been functioning properly so far. While receiving a defective unit initially was disappointing, I truly appreciate how fast and professionally the seller handled the situation. Their quick action made a stressful situation much easier to resolve.
