This laptop has been really easy to work with. I relaced the following things: Replacement battery 512GB SSD -> 2TB SSD Stock wifi card -> wifi 6E card Installed a WWAN 4G LTE card And now I have a great little computer for watching media, browsing the web, and generally being a well connected portable computer. Being able to charge over USB-C is nice, and it uses under 10w when watching movies locally. Makes for a good computer during power outages! My only regret is not spending a little more on the 16GB memory option. You cannot upgrade the memory yourself, but I'm making the most of 8GB. Received the laptop a week after I ordered it, 3 days earlier than the projected date. Day 1: Received Dell Latitude 7390 2 in 1. Looked brand new out of the box. The 65w charger even looked brand new. Booted right up to Windows 10 Pro. Tested a few things and all worked great. I did notice that the 256GB M.2 drive was reporting 467GB so I suspected some form of drive compression but couldn’t figure out what software was being used to do so. Decided to order new 1TB M.2 drive just because. Day 2: Decided to upgrade to Windows 11. Went fine and Windows 11 worked well. Then came time to update to Windows 11 22H2 and this was when the fun started. Half way through the update the screen went blank. I let everything run for about an hour or so, still nothing so I decided to shut it down – nothing. I had to actually open the laptop up and disconnect the battery to get it to turn off. Tried to do a clean install of Windows 10 but I could not delete the existing partitions to do so using the Windows 10 installation USB drive. Rebooted and used BIOS to do a secure erase of the M.2 drive. Clean install of Windows 10 then went flawlessly. Played around with it for a couple days, installed some apps to see how things worked while awaiting the new drive and everything worked as it should and only 256GB was detected on the M.2 drive now as it should be. Day 4: Received new 1TB M.2 SATA drive. Replaced 256GB drive and installed Windows 10. All good. Decided to try a clean install of Windows 11, again all good. Tried update to Windows 11 22H2. Update was not so good but still did update. I think there might be an issue with drivers specifically with the video driver, not the laptop’s fault. Did another clean install of Windows 10 and updated to Windows 10 22H2. I have been using the laptop for almost 3 weeks now and have had no issues. Love the Windows Hello face recognition login. A few things I noticed when I had the laptop opened up: - Was very clean inside - Had the larger 65Wh battery - Had the WWAN module installed (maybe at a later date will see if it will work with Verizon's network) - Did notice that the thermal pad on the M.2 drive had a chunk missing but I replaced it anyway when I replaced the drive. - No thumb reader (didn’t figure it would have that) All in all I am very happy with it so far. Really can’t beat the price. Also the screen is so crisp. It is a bit heavy when trying to read a book in bed but I knew it would be. Battery life appears really good though the longest I have had it on battery is 3 hours and the battery indicator still showed a lot of battery left. ... show more

I paid just under $300 (February 2024) for this refurbished model 7390, with 16 gigs of RAM & a 500 gig SSD. That's a fairly reasonable price considering the age & specs of this laptop. My low rating is mainly because of the seller, PT Electronic Tech LLC, The problems from the seller were: 1. The installed battery was delivered with only 72% of its capacity. 2. The item was advertised as having DDR4 memory, but it came with DDR3. My only problem with the laptop itself is the low quality sound from the built-in speakers. Pre-owned, like new, better deal than a new Dell 2-in-1 laptop with Windows 11... I did not like Windows 10 when it came out. Still don't but now that Microsoft has moved onto Windows 11, hopefully they are no longer going to constantly change and update Windows 10. I stuck it out as long as I could with my Windows 7 Dell laptop. I have replaced my old Windows 7 Dell laptop's HDD with a SATA-III SSD and its RAM is maxed out at 8Gb. I want to take advantage of a touch screen, more RAM (16Gb), faster SDD (PCIe NVMe SDD), and a faster CPU (i7) with more cores/processors (4/8), as well as a faster Wi-Fi adapter and faster USB 3.2 (at least Gen2x1 or Gen2x2) super-speed+ (10/20Gbps) and Thunderbolt 3/4 (20/40Gbps) ports. I love Dell products. I wouldn't buy anything but Dell for business or personal use. However, being not a gamer, I am sure there are better gaming laptops and personal computers than Dell. I don't mind giving Dell my money because their product and technical support is unmatched in my opinion. However, I swore I would never give Microsoft another dime. Hopefully, I can avoid Windows 11 and 12 for the foreseeable future. Buying this pre-owned, like new, Dell 2-in-1 laptop from Amazon is like paying only for the Dell laptop and technical support (ie can still get driver and software updates from Dell) but not paying for Windows 10. It is what I would call a true laptop. It has a faster CPU, faster Wi-Fi adapter, is light-weight, and with a touch screen, there is no need for a mouse or to use the touch pad. In addition to satisfying my RAM, CPU, SSD, and touch screen expectations, this Dell 2-in-1 laptop has two Type-A USB 3.1 (Gen2) super-speed plus (10Gbps) ports and one Type-C USB 3.2 (Gen2x1) super-speed plus (10Gbps) port with a Thunderbolt 3 bridge to the Gen3 PCIe bus (with internal Gen3x4 @ 8.0GT/s NVMe SDD) so I can take advantage from faster data transfer rates (20Gbps) with an external Thunderbolt PCIe Gen3x4 @ 8.0GT/s NVMe SSD (up to 2,500MBps data transfer speeds). If this laptop had a Gen4 PCIe bus then I could possibly achieve faster NVMe SDD data transfer speeds (40Gbps) and faster Thunderbolt data transfer speeds (40Gbps) taking advantage of internal/external PCIe Gen4x4 @ 16GT/s NVMe SSD (up to 5,000MBps data transfer speeds).     • Charging port not working

Great laptop and great purchase. Except the charging port is jacked up so it's hard to charge. Also, there is a small but deep gouge on the screen in an obvious location. I was willing to overlook the gouge since it was a renewed laptop, but with the bad charging port I had to return it.
