I needed a new laptop for work so I was looking for something that could handle my video calls while I have a bunch of tabs open. This will definitely do the trick! It has a nice wide screen and the keyboard feels so good compared to my lite laptops. I also love that you can close the webcam to ensure privacy. One of the things I noticed in the reviews was that people said it did not come with the fingerprint reader, so I was expecting that it was not going to come with one. However, it clearly has one. It's even part of the onboarding process. I've included a picture to show you where it is (the lit-up key in the corner). That also came with a sticker around it to indicate that it is the fingerprint reader. So I'm not sure what people are talking about, it's right there. Great laptop from what I've experienced so far!

TL/DR: Dell does not consider this a new product, you cannot do a new retail registration. Seller will not complete a ownership transfer, and only Asia region consumers can obtain a service/warranty plan (only offered within the world region where the product was first sold by Dell). It's just like your Momma told you: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Upon receiving this product from this third-party seller, I attempted to complete Dell warranty registration. Note the pics, Dell says "this Service Tag cannot be processed for retail registration." When following the link to "ownership transfer" I can't do that either because the product was sold by Dell to a distributor in China. Did a bunch of research on the seller, they're registered as a US entity in Delaware, but are registered in China too under a similar but different name (spelling is a bit different). My best guess is that some Chinese exporter is buying devices from Dell on the cheap, opening the packaging and upgrading the RAM and/or SDD, repackaging the device, then reselling the device on Amazon. This particular set of configuration specs is not offered by Dell USA. From what I can tell, the device really is Dell and really does have the listed specs (though I haven't dug through the BIOS yet to be 100% sure). So while you'll get Dell's initial build quality and great specs for a good price, BUYER BEWARE. Product has been modified and is a resale. According to Dell, product was first sold May 2024 (I received late Nov 2024). I may attempt a return, otherwise I can only hope things work out. I would not have purchased this device if I knew it was a resale from a different world region.

I've had this laptop now for about six months, and it's holding up well and has great performance. I really like the built-in fingerprint reader, which I was reluctant to use for fear that it would be clunky and inconsistent. But it's super quick and responsive, and I use it now all the time as an extra security step. You can't get onto this machine without my fingerprint, and everytime I'm asked to enter my log-in for any app, I also have to give my fingerprint, which makes it much more safe for me to store my passwords on this machine. I didn't get the version of this computer with a touch screen option, which I am now regretting a little bit. I don't normally use the touch screen but sometimes I find myself wanting to move something around the screen with my figure instead of a mouse and forget that it's not what I bought... my bad. I'm giving this a rating of four stars because in my view the battery life isn't so great. It only lasts a few hours before it wants a recharge. I haven't timed it, but I'm guessing about 4-hours is all I'm getting. But that may be a function of all the apps and data I'm crunching.

Bought for work. What a terrible computer, especially graphics. It's fuzzy and dull colored. It turns out Dell only does 6-bit color with their screens. The entire computer feels far inferior to Lenovo, my last computer. Very disappointed! Additionally, the last Dell before Lenovo died after two years' minimal use. Couldn't charge up. Never another Dell again no matter how cheap it is.
