I bought this laptop in July by November it failed. It showed an unusual screen and would not turn on or respond to anything. I contacted Dell and they suggested brining it to my local UbreakIfix and authorized repair center. After about 2 weeks they did nothing and I retrieved it and sent it it to Dell direct. After another 2-3 weeks I get an email from Dell that it is not covered because of something related to an incorrect SSD drive? And they said I should call Amazon. Bottom line this is the worst possible service from a company I trusted. I am still awaiting another call back from Dell but I have little hope that Dell will meet their commitment and actually fix my computer. I would buy from any firm other than Dell or Amazon when it comes to laptops An update it turns out the reseller used by Amazon, Best Deal Electronic prior to posting this computer replaced the .5TB SSD with an off brand 1TB SSD that caused both my motherboard and SSD to fail. They did a bait and switch with inferior parts. Shame on both Amazon and Best Deal Electronics. Their switcheroo cost me about $200 to get it fixed by Dell. AND NOW I ONLY JAVE A 0.5SSD NOT the 1TB I paid for! ... show more

Seller says that battery lasts 7 hours. That's if you have the screen dimmed all the way, no WIFI, no video, music, etc. i.e.almost in sleep mode. If you use WIFI and only are surfing the Net or writing a term paper, count on 3-4 hours. This is NOT a good laptop if you are wanting to take to school and study. Edit: other than that, it is a pretty good laptop, crisp snappy keys, good storage size, bright screen. Purchased in Jan 2026 and seemed like a great laptop. Started to have SSD problems and after exploring you have to connect to the Dell system support page to fix bugs and errors. The laptop went through a period of 2 weeks of shutdown after use, at a point it shut down 4 times in the day. The trip to dell support seemed to fix it but at second glance, I would have purchased a laptop locally if I knew in advance the purchased machine came with issues. Read the 2-star and 1-star for a host of other issues. Beware..... ... show more
