Windows would not allow my to exit S mode. The recommendations from Google were to reset the computer. When I tried to reset the computer, I received error messages that the windows 11 install and the SSD driver were corrupted. I spent 6 hours just trying to get the brand new laptop that I bought to even turn on. Now I have to return it and wait a week for it to be processed and refunded. Completely unacceptable.

I bought this Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop at a discount through Amazon. It wasn't on sale because of any defect (at least to my knowledge). For the most part, it performs as was described, but there are two problems that I think it is important to share here. First of all the "mousepad", i.e., the pad in front of the keyboard isn't fully functional. If I apply pressure on the right side of the pad, nothing happens so I have to move my hand to the left (sometimes all the way to the far left, other times not so much - frustrating for sure). The other issue is that the underside of the laptop gets hot and the fan kicks in. I had read that apparently the Dell laptops do tend to get hot; fortunately there was no suggestion of it being dangerous. Otherwise, the machine is great (seriously). Performs as promised.
