I have an old Dell desktop that is struggling, so decided to try a Dell laptop this time. I only wanted Windows10 & didn't need anything high end as is just for home/travel use. It's a little wider than my work one, as it has the number keypad built in, which is actually a nice feature. It's really fast as not a bunch of bloatware installed, & it's been working great so far. Doesn't have the backlit keyboard, which I would have liked if had a choice, but it's not a big deal. Holds battery charge for a good while, has nice clear resolution & is pretty lightweight. I ordered an extra charger in case anything happens to the one that came with it, & it's not a USB C charger, which doesn't matter to me. Overall I'm really pleased with this laptop for the price & after doing a ton of research, glad I picked this one. ... show more

I would give it five stars, but the keyboard is a bit clunky. Wish it was C-port charged, but I knew that going in. It is fast to turn on and projects to my tv great the few times I've tried it. I will probably buy a 2nd one for my kid. Edit: Battery life is not that great. Luckily I will be leaving it on charge most of the time. I brought it into the kitchen while making dinner and it went into battery saver mode in less than an hour. Just now it fell to 49% in an hour just web surfing, no video. Aside from that, it really isn't a bad computer. I am going to buy a 2nd one. update: touchpad quit about 3 weeks ago ... show more

    • Runs great and quick
I purchased this specific Windows 10 pro as I personally did not want windows 11. Windows 10 will keep outlook emails in their usual format for me as I needed this, whereas windows 11 appears to change it. I was slightly disappointed that it did not have an Ethernet port and only WIFI, however this was easily solved by purchasing an Ethernet adapter through Amazon. . I loved everything about this laptop except it does not have lit up keys but I learned to live with that. It is very fast and easy to use. Plus many of my programs will not work with Windows 11 and this came with Windows 10x

My husband hates Windows 11 so I specifically looked for a laptop that still had Windows 10…what a disappointment! I had to jump through hoops to get Windows 10 reinstalled or I would have returned it. It is also stated that this i5 processor is faster than a type of i7, but I am not convinced of that either; it seems slower than it should be. Just what I needed, a newer laptop, with some unexpected niceties, like being the lightest laptop I've ever owned. Everything they promised is here and it all works perfectly. I'm really happy with it.

    • Windows wouldn't activate and screen glitches
Windows 10 pro wouldn't allow me to activate it when I received the laptop. Other than that it seemed okay for what I needed it for. Battery life is mediocre, definitely need to keep it plugged in if you're going to be using it all day. Loved the touch screen, was very responsive. Super easy to set up and customize to how you like your settings. Seems durable as well but after using it for a few days the screen would start to glitch and black lines would run across it. Tried reaching out to get these issues resolved and have not gotten any assistance. Just be careful with this one.. ... show more

    • Make sure you understand how this is advertised
This was advertised as an upgraded Dell laptop w/ Windows 10 Pro. I found out that "upgraded" mean "refurbished." The way that the product was advertised to me meant that it was new and that they had upgraded certain aspects of a new basic laptop, but that was not the case. I confirmed through the tag number on it via Dell's site that the laptop was indeed refurbished and that it had only a nine month warranty on it. Further, the screen was already pixelating and had small black rectangular areas on the upper right corner and therefore, the display was not 100%. It was also supposed to have Windows 10 Pro on it but after I dropped it off at my IT guy's place to get it set up for me, he called me to let me know that the OS was actually Windows 11. I didn't actually see him verify this, but he has been doing this job for 35 years, so I trust him when he said that it was Windows 11 installed on it. I probably could have dealt w/ Windows 11 even though I actually wanted 10 Pro, but the diminished warranty and the immediate display issues just made me return it the same day that I received it.
