I spent 1/2 day following all the troubleshooting directions and couldn't get the computer to book. I word for 3 days trying to get support from Amazon and Dell. I spent an hour with Amazon support, then another 3 hours one and another 2 hours the next day with Dell tech support trying get the computer back working. NO LUCK. I’m a fan of Dell products, I’m not a gamer, bought this model for the size and need for school. The sound quality is poor, anything above level 10 is so distorted as to be inaudible. The trackpad is difficult to use, often searching the entire pad to get the pointer to move. The battery life seems to endure about 8 hours of continuous use before dropping below 20%. I was looking for a replacement for my 6 year old Apple MacBook Air but I needed something that ran Windows applications. After some research I decided on this laptop. I read reviews for the i5 and there were quite a few that mentioned the trackpad would stop working. Silly me, I figured that would have been fixed in the i7 version but it wasn't. Every minute or so the trackpad will just stop working and then start working again after a few seconds. You can still click with it but it won't move the pointer. After playing with it a while I noticed it only happens in the middle of the trackpad. While that's frozen it will still work on the edge of the trackpad. Then eventually the middle will start working only to freeze again 30 seconds later. I'm going to contact Amazon to see if it will be fixed and if so will update my review. Other than that the laptop is great but that's a big flaw that makes using it very frustrating. ... show more

The first one of these we purchased developed a green line on the screen on day 2. The return choices included UPS pickup which only works if you are home all day or self mailing. The seller only reimburses $4…not a fan. Otherwise computer is good. Battery life, though, is surprisingly short.

Ive always loved Dell BUT with this laptop- I’ve had to install everything 6 times in the last month. Windows 11 is HORRIBLE so many problems with so many basic apps like Microsoft, Google chrome, etc. every time I turn it off or it restarts, it erases everything and I have to resign in and install apps.
