I needed a reliable pc to replace a very noisy, prone to crash existing one and this purchase fit the bill. For around $400, it’s a good deal but there’s a few caveats that go with that. As for a gaming platform it lacks any certain essentials. the positives: quiet and small form factor reliable processor and sufficient ram (16gb) for the price good customer service although i haven’t needed it Nice keyboard and mouse A great selection of how to videos for those less familiar with computing environments The less than positive: The OS drive is a 100gb ssd. The user will need to constantly monitor this space as it will fill up fast with temp files and other data that the user may not be aware of. Recommend replacing this with a 500gb ssd the storage drive is a 500gb drive. Considering that there’s few restrictions on application size anymore because storage is cheap, this is not even close to sufficient space. Recommend a3tb or greater drive which btw can be purchased for under $100. No wireless card and the wireless dongle is outdated (300mps, 2.4ghz) no support for 5ghz No room for expansion inside the case. while the mother board has 4 SATA connections, one is used by the dvd drive and the 4th is used by an unknown device. the only option for adding more drives is to use externals. 01/21. I had contacted Blair before this review was published to ask why and they sent me a 5ghz dongle without being requested to. Awesome customer support! Am underpowered GPU. Bear in mind this is being marketed as an introductory gaming machine. The card installed is likely sufficient to handle most non-shooters. I’m very satisfied with what i purchased because i knew what i was purchasing, but for folks new to computing, if you purchase this pleases be aware that you may need to purchase additional peripherals to bring this pc up to speed as a full-speed gaming machine. My modifications: Once i know i can safely reinstall the OS and activate it I will replace the ssd with a 500gb ssd. This has proved to be ample space for the OS and any temp or installation files that come with downloads and installs. i removed the 500gb storage drive and replaced it with 6tb drive. considering some of the programs i own are greater than 70gb in size each, this was essential. I replaced the graphics card with an Nvidia gtx1050 ti with 32gb onboard memory. This should be sufficient to run everything i own or purchase in the next few years. I also added a 4tb portable hard drive for backups and system tools i can use on other machines when required. Replace the 300mhz wireless dongle with one that works with both 2.4 and 5ghz networks for faster throughout. If you’re familiar with the shortfalls and are ok with a 6th generation (or possibly older) processor then this is an ok buy. A full system check, not just a simple scan, resulted in an un-bootable system. I needed to re-install Windows. No external boot was successful, they all hung at POST. After Windows was reinstalled, a corporate account login (for the former system owner?) was required until CTRl-ALT-DEL aborted the login and a new Windows system setup was started. Windows appears to be fully functional. The system was purchased with a gpu for gaming. It was only tested using Minecraft, Java. It was suitable for that task. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First off, the PC itself was packaged quite well, the peripheral items were not. As you can see in the video, the optical mouse was broken from the get go. But I let it slide just to get the PC going. Issue 1: Storage - as noted by prior reviews, the storage in this machine is trash. I had to move all downloads to the HDD because the SSD was full up almost immediately. Issue 2: Ethernet Card - the Ethernet adapter is a PCIe and takes forever to connect at boot. I am able to get gigabit with my Internet, but the adapter taking too long to connect can be a dealbreaker. This machine does not have onboard wifi. Issue 3: Upgrading - this machine, bios and chip are so old that Windows 11 is not able to be installed, even when following the work-arounds found online. So this machine is on borrowed time. Issue 4: Gaming - the machine was promising at first but once updating all of the software, World of Warcraft played on low graphics setting still only pulls 30-40fps. My old PC from 2010 with a quad core, 8gb and 128mb Radeon handled this better before lightning surged my house and ate my MB alive. This is NOT a gaming PC; do not let the flashy 16mb RAM spec catch your eye. Issue 5: Multitasking - lastly for my gripe, this PC cannot handle video playing windowed and a game playing in another small window. The video stops working or the sound will continue and the video freezes. With the power boasted in this item description, it should handle this and more. Bottom line: If you NEED a PC, there are cheaper refurbs out there. If you want a gaming PC, this isn’t it. If you are broke and need a “gaming” PC, this could work, depending on how close to the year 2000 your games are. But if you’re a content creator, avoid this at all costs. ... show more
