I tried to cancel this order when I realized it wasn't a Windows laptop. That's what I needed for a few oddball programs. I have not had a laptop in 10 years so I'm like a boomer about them nowadays. Had no idea what a Chromebook was. Well they didn't cancel it and sent it anyway. So I read up and seen it also runs Linux in the backround which would serve my purposes fine. I get it in mail and the thing is mint, couple tiny scratches at worst. It runs internet and video great and Linux runs extremely trouble free through the terminal. $50 and I'm super pumped about it. Great deal so long as you understand what you're getting. It has internal battery, internal tiny hard drive (that's incredibly fast BTW), it's like a super phone with a keyboard. If you just need basics though it's $50 why the hell not. ... show more

I had originally posted a bad review for the device being crashed upon arrival. I tried the videos and still was unable to recover the windows data. I called Skytech and spoke with "Rose" and she was patient and gave clear intstructions to repair the computer. Her customer service was top notch! It is difficult to get that kind of service today. The computer is working fabulously 1st review..... the device came in an undamaged package with NO bubble wrap or protective insulation. the system is crashed from initial start up. I've had this little guy for nearly a year now. My review is based off paying $100.00, with realistic expectations about what this Dell was built for. Also, I bought this specifically to install Linux operating systems. I would NOT run Windows 10 on it, unless you really dig watching your laptop spin & spin & spin as Windows does it's bloated, lumbering dance, leaving you to wonder when you'll get a chance to play (or work). Also, Windows will gobble up the pretty much the whole of it's 32gb internal memory It's a solid deal for $100. The one I got was 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMc. Ports: 2 USB, HDMI, micro SD. It's a lightweight machine roughly 3lbs, the battery life is ok, and surprisingly durable build though it doesn't feel like it at first. TheIt's an economy portable laptop that works well once you get Windows off it. Trackpad works fine. No touchscreen. I've had a lot of success installing any number of Linux distros on it. The hardware worked on anything I threw at it, though I didn't do anything exotic with it. All of these worked easily on it: - Ubuntu flavors - Ubuntu based distros (mint, elementary, pop, etc) - Manjaro - gnome, xfce, kde - MX - Solus There's probably others I've forgotten about. These distros will leave you some room on the eMMc, but I also leave in a 128gb SD card where I have about 30gb of music and I keep iso files that I might want to spin up again. And whatever other random stuff I download and save for no discernable reason. I've had Pop! on it for a while now because I haven't been distro hopping much lately. It boots in about 25 seconds, perfectly responsive after booted, updates in minutes or less when there's an update. It won't blow you away but really painless, reliable and easy Pop has a USB creator that I like to use so when I do create a bootable drive, I often use this machine. Also, if I'm travelling and I just want something small & easy to carry, without worrying about busting it up. I'll take this. My gf has the Chromebook version of this same machine which had FAR superior battery life. My machine is in the 4-5 hour range with normal use, Chromebook is around 12 and that machine runs efficiently & quick too. Personally, I just don't like Chromebooks but they work for some people. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be touch screen but it’s not. Otherwise for the price, I love it.
