I don't usually leave reviews. But after seeing there weren't many reviews yet, I felt I should leave one. I was shocked to find the laptop packaged inside a very cushioned sleeve inside a brown cardboard box that was then inside another larger box with ample inflatable bags. All in all it was well protected. The seller (itreplay) seems to pay attention to the little details & for that I'm grateful! I'd be pretty sour to get a laptop that was damaged due to not being packed properly. I truly feel they did a great job on this as mine arrived with no issues. I found the Dell Latitude 7280 exactly as pictured in the stock images from the posting. It included a barrel power adapter (not the USB-C adapter). This laptop will (and does) charge either by the standard Dell barrel connector and also via the USB-C port. (This means it is compatible with USB-C docking stations that are capable of charging by using the Power Delivery (PD) standard.) This means if you have such a docking station (like the Dell WD15) you will only need to plug in its USB-C connector and the laptop can then charge AND extend to connected monitors and other devices using only one cable. (The USB-C cable). I've tested this out now on 3 different docking stations that have PD capability and it charges & also performs all other functions with each dock as expected. (I've tested using a Dell WD15, an Anker dock that does PD passthrough & also an HP dock with PD,) I also found the laptop to contain the product key for Windows 10 Pro & also came with instructions for creating a backup & recovery CD. The processor, SSD hard drive, and memory all matched the description as listed. (In this case a dual core Core i5, with 8GB RAM which is a single removable SO-DIMM...allowing you to order a single 16GB SO-DIMM as an inexpensive replacement/upgrade since it is NOT soldered) and a SanDisk M2 SSD 512GB hard drive that could also be replaced/upgraded. The bottom of the laptop has an easy to remove panel that allows you access to upgrade all these components. Also it should be noted that it does have a 802.11ac wireless network card installed and has an easy to access SIM card slot if you want to add Cellular (WWAN) connectivity. However, when I opened the case, I noticed it does not have a WWAN card. This is a cheap issue to have though, as you can but a WWAN card that will work just fine on Amazon for $15 to $25. And it's not exactly necessary unless you just want to have Cellular connectivity in the laptop itself instead of using your hotspot on your phone. I could not honestly find a single scratch on the laptop and would have never known it wasn't new if not for it coming in a box that wasn't a retail Dell box. All in all I think this is the best value I've found in a reconditioned laptop and cannot recommend this highly enough. I was not offered any compensation for this review (sadly) but felt strongly about the value and can honestly say that if I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy several more at this price. (I paid $399 or just over $425 after taxes in July of 2020). I've compared prices with comparable systems on TigerDirect & Newegg...but have found this to be the best deal going. (Plus I really LOVE the sub 14" form factor. I typically think the 13.3" Mac displays are the best size for a ultra portable...but this 12.5" model gives you all the real estate you need w/o any of they bulk. My ONLY con for this system is that I would have preferred a screen with 1920x1080 resolution over the 1366x768...but the screen still looks really nice & came with NO dead pixels!! So it's really hard to complain about any of this at such a great price point. ... show more

when I turned it on, it shows a blue screen that said wait a moment....., it was like 2 hours and it did not start or launch the first setting, I look for Amazon support and it is very poor help, so I looked on youtube and it says that you only had to press the power button for 15 seconds and then wait a bit, this help the computer to finish shutting down,because the computer technicians who erased them did not finish leaving them in the initial configuration position, then turns on it again, then it will starts at the initial configuration page, finish configuring, wifi, name, email outlook, and all the rest of the initial configuration, once it log in windows, it works perfectly, I recommend you to watch youtube videos to remove many windows programs and promotions of programs that slow down any computer, do this with the help of youtube to prevent windows from starting unnecessary programs and then restart the computer, it becomes a super fast computer and thanks to the 500GB solid state hard drive, it's super fast, and it has plenty of space for windows that over the years fills the hard drive with updates, it is also plenty of space for personal files, although I prefer to take them on an external drive for safety and to keep the hard drive of programs light and fast. ... show more

What I liked? Cost, battery life. What I didn't like? Balky keyboard--you have to hit the space bar with intensity. Screen quality is poor. Worst of all, less than 30 days after the 90 day warranty expired, the headphone outlet failed. Since one of my main goals was to use it in situations where I listened to my headphones (on a plane/in crowded areas), it's now a $200 paperweight. ... show more

Outstanding bang for the buck: solid build quality, compact and lightweight, powerful mid-range Intel processor, 8 gigs RAM, gigantic half terabyte SSD, excellent backlit keyboard and extraordinary battery life, particularly considering it's an AmazonRenewed unit. What keeps this excellent package from being a home run is the quite mediocre LCD flat panel display. No matter how it's adjusted the color fidelity is never very good and worst of all, it's very angle sensitive vertically. It's certainly sharp and contrasty enough and usable, but regardless of what angle the screen is adjusted to, it just doesn't look that great compared to say an Apple Retina display which of course are among the best in the business. Update: After 2-3 months the fan started randomly turning on at high speed. It is noisy and makes me nervous that the computer will overheat. I contacted the seller and they told me that they are sending a replacement. I will update when I receive it. This seller is very accommodating and willing to do what it takes to offer a quality product. ................ **Update: I contacted the seller and they apologetically replied and sent a replacement battery within just a few days. Impressive! I’m adding a star! ............. I received a renewed laptop nearly as good as new EXCEPT the battery. The description says that the battery is guaranteed to be 80%+. This is certainly not the case. I have contacted the seller to obtain a replacement. Unlike others, I did receive a backlit keyboard. The storage is excellent, it's fast, light, clean, and an overall great machine. I just would like a decent battery to go with it. I will update my review accordingly. ... show more
