Overall the Dell Inspiron 15 is great - this is my third dell Inspiron, BUT the blurb describing the computer states that it comes with Windows 10 NOT Windows 11 which mine was delivered with and as we know you can not go back to an earlier version of Windows from 11. As of 1/8/2023 the blurb still says WINDOWS 10. It works well and it isn't expensive for a laptop. I got it just to write and for school, but its great to watch videos and Netflix as well. I recommend paying more and getting the highest capacity possible. Its more space and It will connect to the internet better. Also switching to a google chrome browser is good because its way easier to use. You just have to look it up and hit download. Then later you can go to the chrome web store and you can get extensions/add ons for your laptop. The screen quality and volume are meh, but its overall a pretty good deal. ... show more

Laptop only worked when plugged in. Contacted Dell and they determined the battery was no good. They are sending me a new laptop to replace the one I purchased on here. I would have utilized the free return but was worried I would get another bad laptop. Overall everything else worked great but the issue with the battery not staying charged. ... show more

    • Two weeks and it still isn't set up - returned
I have owned at least a dozen computers - Windows and Mac. This computer's touchpad is the worst ever. I prefer actual keys but have used both. It is hard to say if it was Windows 10 or the hardware but it was so much slower than my 7 year old HP. Regardless, Dell's instructions were non-existent and my googles solutions did not change what I wanted to change. When I called DELL for assistance, the fellow said he was putting me on hold then put me back in the queue so someone else had to deal with it. Second guy did the same. That is when I decided I had a DELL problem not a Windows problem. Nevertheless, windows has become so intrusive, OneDrive in particular, but Bing, Edge etc. as well, I spent most of my time trying to figure out how to use the computer the way I wanted to use it. I don't like cloud storage because it slows the computer down and complicates storage and retrieval of items - either on the computer or in the cloud. I got rid of Dropbox for that reason. In the end I uninstalled OneDrive and it STILL insisted it had to download a document on my DESKTOP to OneDrive which I had already opened in that manner. I am afraid I might be going back to Mac's which I started using in 1984. Apple is WAY overpriced and has its own issues with control but it's mostly hardware and there are work-arounds for that. ... show more

well, i got this with amazon as opposed to dell directly, or best buy. that being said, i got a two year warranty and microsoft included for a good price, and still had more money left from my tax refund. so, that's good news. still, it's slower then i thought, but i got a good price because i got the older drive with 16gb. ... show more
