This is supposedly a new item however the way it was packaged I had my doubts.(did not have that "new" plastic smell, minimal packing material, product box, not shipping box, looked used) According to the product description there is suppose to be a USB cable include with the computer and power supply. All I got was the computer and power supply. When I first turned it on and was going through the new computer set up process, it had me set up a PIN. This was followed by a couple of Windows updates. When the updates were completed I got a message saying the PIN number needs to be reset, "click here" and we will email with a code to reset the PIN. The problem is the email never arrived. I checked my trash, spam folders, re clicked on the link etc and never received the email. So basically I could not do anything else with the computer till I received the code from Microsoft. I did a online search (on another computer of course) and apparently this is a very common problem and there does not seem to be a fix from Microsoft. I went to the Dell website to try and get some support, entered the service tag number and the Dell site said this computer was already registered in the United Arab Eremites and the website was directing me to international support. (I live in the USA) This pretty much confirms my doubts about if the computer was new or not. After several hours of online searching I found a work around that required a disk image on a USB drive to boot from and to reset/eliminate the PIN requirement. Once it booted up I tried resetting the computer and kept getting an error message the computer could not reset. I tried doing a recovery, again error message saying the task could not be completed. I searched online for help, tried many different task and still no luck. I have wasted enough of my time trying to get this laptop working.
