    • End of Life Refurb. NOT a 2024 model. Falsely advertised.
This was listed as a 2024 model. No. It has a 2024 Chrome OS install...the LAST install that it will update to (per start up message) meaning that you need to buy a newer Chromebook for continued updates (which Chrome states is 10 years from original hardware date...including refurbished ones). The manufacturer stickers were removed, so it is impossible to tell how old this Chromebook actually is. It looked great cosmetically. Started right up. Runs well. But the point for me to get a newer Chromebook is my current one is at end of life, no more upgrades, and starting to give me nasty messages on websites that I need to update. I got this laptop for our homeschooled daughter to complete some work. It was inexpensive and came next day so those were huge pros. BUT, I just set the Chromebook up and it is not eligible for software updates. I didn’t realize that when I bought it, so I should’ve done more research. This refurbished computer's price seemed almost too good to be true, but we took a chance because of Amazon's 90 day guarantee, and it turned out to be a great buy. My grandson is using it for his kindergarten homework and a host of other things.

Bought this for my sister who is a school teacher and took it overseas!! It says excellent condition!! It Couldn’t even charge !! She took it to a repair shop!! The wiring inside was all crap!! Very Sad!! It still at the repair shop!! Couldn’t NOT return it because it’s in overseas!! What a waste of money!! ... show more
