This heats up quickly plus it has a preheat setting to warm your side of the bed. This is typically warm by the time I brush my teeth and my hair. Only critique is that I have a memory foam pillow and if I leave it on setting 5 and fall asleep I feel like my arm is nearing burning if I put it under my pillow. This product is great for the winter. We had an issue where one side of the pad stopped working. Contacted customer service and explained the problem. They suggested some troubleshooting but the issue wasn’t resolved. They addressed the problem and replaced the pad. Very good customer service!

This past week, one side stopped working and it became clear just how reliant I am on it. On a whim, I reached out to the seller, La Fiore, and they were super responsive and helpful, sharing the user's manual and walking me through troubleshooting. The queen size has dual heat controls. It gets actually very hot if set at the higher settings. It does not shut off after a certain amount of time so one has to remember to turn it off when not in use. I HATE to be cold and this is excellent. I was used to using just a heated blanket over me however this under layer does the trick and I actually like it better then an over cover as it actually heats up the over coverings nicely. Very easy to use, lights are functional but not disruptive to sleep. Super-warm for southern California, and I expect at higher levels, it would work fine pretty much anywhere. I sure miss my old Sunbeam, though, which had three zones on each side so you could get very warm feet without cooking your torso. Can't find anyone that makes that type anymore. If they did, it would be WAY better than this or any other unit on the market. But from what's available today, this was a good choice. ... show more
