The toilet arrived pretty quickly, it arrived in about a week and was very well packaged. The box isn’t that big, it’s your average toilet sized box I wasn’t sure it would be larger due to the larger size seat but it was still relatively the same size. Upon receiving it though, the first thing I noticed was how HEAVY it is. Unlike other toilets where the tank can separate, this is all one big uniform piece. The tank and toilet are attached thus I would recommend at least 2 men to move it. Especially if you’re moving it up stairs like I did. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how well packaged it was. Lots of foam to prevent cracking which I really appreciated because I did drop it once and was worried due to the weight. After opening, I also noticed that the toiled was already refitted with all the internals and a seat, saving cost on buying extra peripherals. It looked great and was large, but not too large, I couldn’t really see much difference between this and a standard elongated toilet. My primary issue with the toilet was the base. Most toilets I’ve seen in America are bolted through the ground via a flat base, this toilet on the other hand did not have a traditional base, it had a base that was in the cylinder shape up to the bowl, it’s a pretty cool design but installing it as a replacement had its problems. Firstly due to the shape you can notice the color change in the flooring of the vinyl if you have it. The base does not cover the full area of my last toilet so I had to scrub as well as I could but still noticed the color change. Also the plastic covers for the mounting bolts are a cool touch but it would have been nice if they were a material more flush with the toilet. Overall it’s a great toilet, especially if you are placing it in a new built bathroom. As a replacement it can be a good choice if you have tile, or if you’ve had a toilet with a similar base styling. It works great and has a very modern design 10/10!

This toilet was shipped in excellent packaging, so it arrived in perfect condition. I'm not a plumber, but I've installed several toilets over my 71 years, so the installation was nothing to worry about. I thought. Let's just start with that. If you've installed normal two-part toilets before, you're in for a bit of a surprise when you attempt to install this one. First, the toilet is heavy, given that the tank is part of the toilet and cannot be separated. Second... and this is the kicker... you are absolutely working blind when you try to lift the toilet and position it over the flange bolts. Those holes for the flange bolts are hidden inside the skirt of the toilet, and from above, you have no idea how close they are to the bolts. Working alone, I had to try repeatedly to "feel" when the bolts slipped into the holes, which sounds a LOT easier than it was... I was lucky that I didn't snap the flange when I missed many times and pushed the flange bolts sideways. This one step of installation took me over 30 minutes of trial and error. Realistically, a second person working as a "spotter" is essential for an amateur plumber like me. I'm sure pros have techniques that make this easier, so if you have any doubts, consider hiring one. Another important consideration for this toilet is the placement of your water line (see my photo). Ideally it is at least 8" left of the centerline of the flange, so it will be accessible outside the skirt of the toilet. If it's less than that, and especially if it sticks out too far, the toilet simply won't fit against the wall. Check these things carefully and modify them as necessary before you start. Finally, everything is harder working behind the skirt... like attaching the water line to the tank, and securing the flange bolts. Save yourself a lot of trouble and attach the water line to the tank inlet before you install the toilet... then afterwards, attach it to the wall water outlet. I didn't think of that and I spent another 30 minutes fumbling around trying to attach the hose to the tank inlet... my fingers barely reached back there, and I had no way to make it as tight as I would have liked. OK, all that said... this is one beautiful toilet, if indeed you find toilets attractive. It really looks sleek and "high end". I've got fancy sculpted Toto toilets in all the other bathrooms, and I'd say this one is just as architecturally appealing. I love the look. Functionally, this is working for me. My other toilets are the 1.6 GPF generation, and this dual-flush model maxes out at 1.28 GPF, so I was dreading that this one would often be a two-flusher. Nope, this does a great job with a single flush, although I admit I hold the button down longer than a mere "push" would require. I don't know if that actually does anything, but I feel better doing it. Now that it's installed, I absolutely love this toilet. Definitely recommend.

I got the Deer Valley Elongated One-Piece Toilet to replace an old builder grade toilet that was installed years ago and needed to go. The toilet is chair height which is SO much easier on my knees when getting up. It is a lot easier to clean as well thanks to the rimless inside and the smooth sides unlike standard toilets. While the outside of a toilet around the bolts would only be dusty, not having to deal with the buildup inside under the lid is fantastic! It makes cleaning a different ball game and MUCH faster! The slow close lid is also a nice touch, although we have been using them for years thanks to four kids who do NOT know how to hold the seat when they close it!!! Installation is a bit more difficult than a standard size toilet though. This thing is HEAVY! I have installed toilets by myself before but enlisted help for this one strictly because the weight makes it a bit more of a challenge to maneuver into the proper seating. It's not that there is anything different, it's just that it's harder to maneuver it around while trying to see where the wax ring is while holding it up. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard install. My wife (and therefor me as well) are very happy with this toilet. It has sleek lines and looks great, is at a nice, comfortable height, has dual flush for water savings and is easy to clean. You can't ask for more. At $270 (at the time of this review, it is on sale for $220), it is a little pricey but, for the ease of cleaning I think it is well worth it.

This is the first toilet that I have ever installed. I can say that it was fairly easy to install. It is a little heavy because you can’t remove the tank, but the tank is small and the toilet was manageable. The most challenging part was setting it on the Closet bolts. The flushing mechanism works rather well with two levels of flush for water savings. The toilet looks amazing and is quite comfortable to sit on. The toilet seat it comes with is certainly good enough. I did struggle with trying to understand how to tighten it or remove it, because this wasn’t so clear in the instructions. However, the rest of the instructions were pretty clear. The toilet cleans up very easily, even the toilet seat and got some black smudges from an old gasket and they wiped right off. The connection for the water intake confuse me for a moment because it came with an adapter to reduce the thread size from the standard, but I figured it out, and this was covered in the instructions. The toilet is true to size. It does measure 12 inches to the bolts from the wall. The full skirt part looks fantastic, but I suggest doing whatever you can before you install it, because it’s a little difficult to get back there in my bathroom. I think the instructions even suggest installing the water intake hose to the toilet prior to installation. I didn’t do this and regretted it. Please note that if your water intake valve is close to the floor, you’re gonna need a water intake hose of about 14 inches to reach the toilet connection. My 12 inch hose wouldn’t reach it, even though a 12 inch weren’t fine with my previous toilet. By the way, I very much appreciated that it came with closet bolts to attach to my toilet closet flange. It also came with a wax ring, but I didn’t use it because my flange was a little low on the ground, and I needed to use one of those extra large wax rings to ensure a good seal.
