I never used a sewing machine before and nana would be proud as she was a seamstress. I was really worried about threading the needle if the thread broke. It’s not easy to thread the needle but they give you that little threader which works well. I also learned according to the thickness of the material it’s best to change the pattern selection dial and you will have less thread breakage. It’s also best to buy certain threads in the store as they are a bit stronger then what is given. For me this little machine worked out great for my shabby sheak journal pockets. I would definitely recommend as any machine it takes patience and practice to get where you feel comfortable using. ... show more

I like this sewing machine. It is my first one and to learn how to sew. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because it is not very easy to put the needle in place and secure it with the little screw. But it does the small job decently.
