I got this for my son’s birthday, and he loves it so much it’s all he ever wants to play with. It’s a very cool looking RC car, and it works like it says, climbing over rocks and such with ease. I like how it has a controller, but also some kind of sensor that goes on your hand that lets you control it with gestures. The battery life is very long lasting as well. All my kids had fun riding this rc vehicle. The motion control works easily and transmit the commands surprisingly well and fast. The remote control itself gives you more functions and is more responsive that the motion control. The ability to move sideways definitely is a nice feature. We got this for when the kids come to visit as well as an occasional drive in the backyard by adults if it was good enough. We have had a lot of radio-controlled vehicles over the years and we try to save money on them because they always end up getting beat down and abused. This price point is on the higher end of what we would normally spend but it looked interesting so we thought we would give it a try. From owning so many I can honestly say that this is one of the coolest we have ever gotten, and it seems pretty solidly built. The car is quick and nimble and goes over different surfaces with relative ease which keeps kids' attention longer. In addition, this car can actually move sideways sort of like a crab walk as well as twist and turn in just about every location. That feature makes it so nice because it is very difficult to get this car stuck in a situation that you can't get it out of with a few twists and turns. To add to the fun, this car has the options to turn on lights basically all over it including the wheels, and while we probably won't use them much (in order to conserve battery life), at night it makes the car look simply amazing - almost like a grounded UFO! There is so much about this car that makes it unique and well worth the price that I could go on and on, but my best suggestion is to grab one for yourself and give it a try. ... show more

I purchased this toy for my 8 year old boys. They already have a lot of RC cars, and I initially thought that I should probably avoid adding another one to their growing collection. However, this one is really unique and unlike any of the other ones they have. The wheels on this car are the star of the show. The best way I could describe them would be to say that they are omni-directional wheels, each powered by a separate motor. Although the wheels themselves just go forward and backward, each individual wheel has 6 diagonal rollers that allow the car to move in 360 degrees, including cool sideways motions. For those BattleBots fans out there, think Shatter. That alone was the main reason I got this. But on top of that, this RC car also includes a gesture remote and we've never had one of those before. But it really works. Hand motions are translated into different motions of the car. You can pretty much drive the car with that gesture remote alone. But a traditional remote is also included. Also, the body of the car has the interesting ability to lower and raise itself. The motors on this car are also very fast and make this a joy to play with. As for complaints, I can't really think of any right now. This car has everything we were looking for. The one thing that I wish it had was the ability to charge the battery in the car. But like most RC cars, you can only recharge the battery by taking it out of the car. Other than that, we love this car and highly recommend it. ... show more
