I used to be an audiophile; I still have some of my high end gear. But, as I get older, and want to listen outside more and more, I was looking for good sound quality on a small, portable, wireless speaker. I found that in this item. The sound exceptional for something this small; clear and tight bass, crisp and clean highs (no "sizzling" and distortion of cymbals), and overall a very balanced sound. I play the speaker for a few hours a day, and I have not recharged it for several days, so battery capacity seems good for me. Others have complained about the limited levels of sound volume; I agree with them. However, I can control the volume with the connected device (phone, computer, or MP3 player), so that's not really an issue for me. I liked it so much I bought a second one so that I had a stereo pair. This speaker is set up to do just that easily - pair with a second speaker for wide field stereo sound. Alas, my MP3 player only has Bluetooth 4.2, so it's time to upgrade the player. I would highly recommend this speaker. ... show more

I love the compact size. The speaker is also waterproof which is important to me because we will be storing it in a cabinet on our deck. The sound is very impressive for something this affordable and compact. I like that it can be used with rechargeable battery or plugged in.

The speaker sounds great, has great battery life and seems to be pretty well constructed. Our only issue is that there is an issue with the volume control. There are two notches, at about 1/3 volume where the volume range is way too wide. It's either too quiet or too loud between the two notches.
