Update 4/3: After contacting support they quickly got back to me and sent me a new unit for free. I tried all different combinations to try and narrow down the issue. New cable, old wifi box, old lights New cable, new wifi box, old lights New cable, old wifi box, old lights, etc, etc Ultimately it was the light strips themselves that were causing my breaker to flip. After using all the new components, it works perfectly. Alexa works and it doesn't cause my power to flip. Great support response, and product works great now. Original Review (03/20):Currently working with support to resolve this issue - review will be subject to change. So I recently bought this light strip to replace another light strip I had because I wanted alexa support. No problems with adhesive and the lights are fully working and bright. Unfortunately this LED light strip causes my breaker to flip and lose power in my room. It is plugged into the exact outlet as the previous strip. I am not overloading my breaker and I only get the flip when I turn these lights on. I bought the 100 foot in 2 rolls and only put up one 50 foot roll to see how they were going to do. I started by checking the lights and they all lit up red before putting them up and this is where I guess I made a mistake because you need to check every color to make sure the entire strip works on every color. Two hours later I had them up and hooked them to the app and the last 10-15 feet will light up red and green but that is it. If you put the lights on blue the last 10-15 feet go out. If you put them on purple the last 10-15 feet are red and if you put them on teal the last 10-15 feet are green. This is so annoying to have to take these down and throw them in a box and return them just to get another set that may or may not work and spend another 2 hours putting them up and then really hope they work. It’s sad because the first 30 or so feet of the 50 feet are very nice I really like them but I want lights that actually work for the entire 50 feet. I’m now waiting on customer service to reach out to me because Amazon was sadly of no help. Update: customer service from Daybetter got back to me and are sending me a new set of lights. The included power cable is only about 2 ½ to 3 feet long, which for 99% of people is too short if you are planning on installing these around your cieling. Most outlets are 6 to 8 feet below the cieling, so you end up having to use some of the LED strip to reach the cieling and that ends up looking tacky and cheap. I would have given 5 stars if they had included a longer power cable and if the box didn't smell like chemicals. The reciever also can't use 9V or 24V power adapters either, because the lights just end up endlessly flashing and do not respond to the app or the remote. That part I do not understand as it should be able to convert 24V to 12V because the last set of LED lights used the same exact reviecer and worked just fine with my 24V power cord. Overall, this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" product, and I can only recommend if you either have a longer power cable or do not care about the low quality materials. I wont be buying another set from this company any time soon. EDIT: Bumping this up to 4 stars because of the app. It works very fast and can be turned colors that are not even on the remote. Theyre decently bright, with some blues being best to fully light a room. If youre doing a normal size its more worth twice its weight. No real variation in how the colors move, with the pulse being a fade at best.

Had these installed on the upper walls of my room for a bit now, and I gotta say I'm not dis―pleased with em. Pros: Cheap, easy, functional, smart/wifi accessible so it's nice when I'm out of the house but want to turn them on or off if I forgot. Cons: Remotes all but useless for me. Unless its directed right at the sensor, it doesn't work. So I just control it from Alexa or my phone. Also within the time I've had them, they've already dulled considerably. Brand new I didn't even need my main room light on, now, well it's just that uncomfortable lit/unlit area. Good for a chill vibe―but not enough to not want to take a nap. ... show more

These lights are great. I didn’t expect the sticky part to really be any good because of past purchases but I was wrong. It’s extremely sticky and doesn’t lift at all even after time. The quality of these for the price is perfect. I love them
