  • Basically and xbox 360
Style: WHITE
if your thinking about buying this, its definitely a good system, performance wise after you install the latest amd drivers and aslo reccomend installing direct x as well its identical to an xbox 360, its good for Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 at medium settings 30fps sometimes you will get away with max settings on most 7th gen games from 2012 and 2000, just imagine running console like graphics settings it runs windows 10 and battery life when runng older games is an hour to an hour and a half. its definitally not perfect but its also a decent system. i definitely recommend this. will not run Halo Combat Evolved due to Direct 3d error, will not run Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 without problems with the controls and also Driv3r has control problems as well, other games you will have to tinker with, and recommend a usb keyboard to creat user name for games like Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2, Driver Parallel Lines, and BLUR, Racing games or other games. ... show more

  • Not great as a gaming machine OR computer
Style: WHITE
Update May 2023: This thing basically stopped working after applying the Windows 11 upgrade. It never really worked that great under Windows 10, either. There has been one problem after another since I got it, and I strongly recommend against purchasing this. The processor really can't handle much, the OS glitches frequently, and it is overpriced on top of everything else. I have a Celeron-based laptop I paid $250 for in February that runs better than this thing. --ORIGINAL REVIEW-- This will probably go down as my most regrettable purchase of 2023. It's oddball configuration as partly a Windows PC, but partly a handheld gaming console makes it ill-suited for either task. It really doesn't have the horsepower to run anything contemporary in terms of games. Yes, I was able to get my entire MAME library on the 256GB SSD and it does work great for that. But, I have other Linux-based devices under $200 that can boast the same accomplishment. I could not get RetroArch to work very reliably, mainly due to the fact the device's controller can't be read simultaneously with the mouse. It was practically impossible to configure the controller because of this design. On my actual netbook PC, I can run RetroArch without any problems, because my mouse and gamepad aren't on the same switch. The screen is nice. The build is solid. Battery life seems good. Unfortunately, the hardware is lacking for anything but 80s, 90s, and early 2000s games with no serious 3D component. This won't cut it for most people looking for an alternative to a Steam deck. It really couldn't even handle simple PS2 games on RetroArch. I have an Android-based handheld which cost $180 that can do a better job with most early PS2 titles. There are probably some niche gamers who might find this device useful. I'm not in that category. If you want to use it as a tiny computer, you'll need a keyboard and physical mouse. Trying to type or do anything on the touchscreen is very cumbersome. So, I can't even say I'd like to use this machine for browsing the internet. $375 is too much money for something that is cool in theory, but frustrating in practical use. While I'm tempted to return it for a refund, I probably will not. Amazon shouldn't have to pay for a losing bet I made while gambling with my own common sense. If you're on the fence about buying this, err on the side of caution. This handheld really doesn't live it up to its hype. ... show more

  • It's not a Steam Deck, but it's not a bad little device
First things first. Do not expect this to run the latest games at any kind of playable speed. The CPU is weak, the GPU is weak, there is only 6 GB RAM available after the 2 GB is allocates for the GPU. Shared VRAM. That said, it would be a great little device for older games, maybe up to 2012-2013? Possibly even a bit newer? You'll have the turn the graphics settings down. This is also awesome for emulation. It can handle emulating old computers and consoles easily. Don't try to run something like a PS2 emulator though, that's too much for it. The screen is pretty good, sharp and bright. The touchscreen is very accurate. The controls feel good. Sound quality is reasonable. Battery life isn't very impressive but it's alright. All-in-all, I don't feel ripped off at all for $299. Just know what to expect when you buy it. There's a reason this is so much cheaper than the Steam Deck. They cut corners on CPU/GPU to meet a price point and this has implications on what games it can play. You get what you pay for, maybe it's enough for you. Maybe not. ... show more

  • Ok but falling apart
So this thing is great as a low level PC and cloud gaming device. It also works fine for browsing and streaming content on the internet and/or video apps. The cons are 1) it's kind of uncomfortable because there's no place for your bottom 2 fingers (bottom 3 if you have bigger hands like myself) so extended game play isn't really a thing 2) battery life is also staggeringly short with installed content especially 3) sadly in under a year my screen is actually coming apart from the unit.....which is unfortunate cause I can't do a thing about it. Not sure if its just the scree or if something is swelling inside. I hope it's the former cause if something (by something I mean battery) is swelling inside then I'm out of luck. 4) that brings me to my final con.......this thing is loud and hot.......period. This product is about $100-$150 too much and NEVER goes on sale...... ... show more

  • Not easy to set up but pretty great !
Style: WHITE
I bought this device from Amazon because they have better service if something goes wrong, as opposed to Anbernic. I got the Win600 mostly for low-end steam games and some other games for windows like Nox that I can never run on other handhelds. It's pretty pricey, especially when you have to add the extra ram stick but its totally worth it once I set it up (which was a nightmare). ... show more

  • Didn't last a year
Style: WHITE
I ordered the Win600 on 4-17-2023. Today 4-9-24 I look down and noticed the screen was peeling off. I knew that meant the battery was swelling. It took out 2 of the 4 screws and the case started separating on its own. Sure enough the battery had swollen to twice its size. I now need a replacement battery and cannot find one. Tne number on the back of the battery is 705088-2S1P. ... show more

  • Great for retro emulation
Very reliable if you're into emulation. Worried about space? Get a 1TB USB problem solved. I'm completely satisfied.
