    • First time user but very impressed.
We finally got a chance to use this ultrasound here on the farm and after some practice with it before hand was able to use it successfully. It seems pretty durable and able to be used around an outdoor setting without damaging the unit. It has quite a few features and there is a learning curve but it's really not that hard. It does include a manual which is helpful but I learned a lot from watching videos prior. It's not cheap but after you use it one or two times depending on where you live and access to farm vets, it will pay for itself and you can continue to monitor your pets/animals on a regular basis.     • works well once you get used to it
I tried this on our farm, mainly for goats first, then later on the dog. Setup was pretty simple, not too much fuss, though the buttons take a bit to figure out the first time. Once you understand the basic menu it’s actually easy to use. Screen is clear enough, I could see what I needed without squinting. Function wise, it does what it’s meant to do. The different modes are there but honestly I mostly stayed on the main one. It feels sturdy, like it can handle a bit of rough handling. I dropped it once on the barn floor and it still works fine, so that’s a plus. For the price, I think it’s good value for money compared to calling the vet every time. Not the cheapest thing but it paid for itself after a few uses. For anyone who needs quick checks at home, this makes sense. ... show more

    • Pretty straightforward if you've used a US before.
While the manual isn't the best, if you know how to operate an ultrasound machine this is going to feel very intuitive. I was surprised at the clarity, as it seems almost as good as the older GE and sonosite machines we used on people at the orthopedic center I used to work for. I'd even say that for a guided injection, for example, and in the hands of a skilled practitioner, that this is pretty good. For the cost, it's simply unbeatable. ... show more

Solid build, comfortable grip. Mechanical probe handles basic pregnancy scans well. Impressive battery life (lasted all morning). Manual isn't perfect, but DAWEI's support team helps. Very happy with it!
