We're SO HAPPY with this purchase. Compared to other gliders we've seen at typical baby stores (BabiesRus, BabyDepot, BuyBuyBaby, etc), this reclining glider has been the most comfortable, stylish, and reasonably priced. When you're expecting a baby, the last thing you want to do is spend so much money on items that won't be of the greatest use in 2-3 years. We got this rocker because it doesn't look like your typical glider/rocker and the fact that it reclines is a huge bonus. It matches perfectly with our baby girl's nursery that also doubles as a guest room since it has a grey pull-out sofa too. I find the quality of the fabric to be great, same thing with the white piping along the edges. Baby vomit and poo has already made it's way t to the glider, but was quickly wiped off with soap and very hot water. When it dried, nothing could be seen and the fabric held up VERY well, despite my frantic scrubbing with a washcloth. The rocking/gliding function is also smooth. No--it will not rock/glide if it's in the reclined position. I'm 5'6 and long limbed and the recliner was perfect for me after the baby had fallen asleep, I'd slowly pull the handle (found on the inner side of the seat) to recline for a few minutes with her on my chest, then slowly undo the recline and walk across the room to put her in her bassinet once she was in a deep sleep. Someone 6 feet tall can easily recline in this chair as well... Some people complained about how high the back of the chair was was, but I personally found this to be a good thing. Especially at 3am, when you're up with a newborn/infant, you want as much back and head support as possible. The cute little lumbar/back support pillow that comes with it is also a plus. However, the grey color is compatible with MANY different colors so, if you wanted to swap out that pillow for another one that matches your nursery, it won't be a problem. That's what we later did actually...we added a pink pillow to match our little Girl's nursery theme a bit better. The swivel (left-to-right) of the chair is a nice feature too, it's also very smooth and can be used when rocking the baby left-to-right to get rid of his/her gas or stomach discomfort (old-school remedy of laying baby across your legs, tummy down, on a pillow, then rocking from left to right.     • Great for nursery. Easy to assemble.
I love the chair, and it is very comfortable. I am 5 feet 4 inches and my head rests comfortably on the back. I have it in the nursery and I love that I can just push back to fall asleep if I need to keep holding my baby... Two things I dislike: 1) when I am holding my sleeping baby it is a little difficult to close the leg rest, and I have to use a lot of leg muscle. It has gotten a little easier over the last two months. 2) in order to get the chair to fully recline I have to have my butt all the way against the back of the chair otherwise it sits up a little bit. Overall it's a great chair and really easy to assemble. Just put the two pieces together and throw the cushion on. Totally recommend it, and it will be ok to put in our living room once it's out of the nursery. Update 3 years later... still LOVE the chair. Using it again. It’s gotten easier to close the leg rest. Updated Pros: my coffee mug can rest on the armrest no problem. Spit up is a breeze to clean up. I just use a wet washcloth and some Zout if necessary. I was worried it would look awful over extended use, but as long as you clean it up right away, it cleans up great. Cons: the back pillow looks great, but I’ve only really used it in a pinch if I end up sleeping in the chair. More often then not,it’s behind the chair in the corner. If you are going to use it fully reclined a lot, it’s going to have to be pulled out from the corner quite a bit. NO REGRETS buying this chair. ... show more

    • Great chair for the price.
The chair looks nice and is very easy to assemble by just sliding the back piece into place. Ours smelled a tad "factory-like," but was fine after airing out in the garage overnight. It is quiet and both the gliding and swivel motions are very smooth. The seat is nice and wide, and also pretty deep. I'm 5'8" and the back of my knees touch the front of the seat (and my feet are flat on the floor) when I'm seated fully back against the lumbar support pillow. The pillow is just ok. We've only been using the chair for two weeks, but I don't anticipate the pillow to hold its shape/firmness long. Our chair is gray, so we can easily swap the pillow for one of another color, no big deal. The back is pretty firm, but it's comfortable enough, especially for the price. My husband is 6'2" and likes that he can easily rest his head on the high back. The armrests are at a nice position for nursing, at least for my height and with a 5 month old, and have decent padding. The footrest will stay wherever you stop it (more than just fully closed or open), which is really nice. The chair only reclines when the footrest is fully open. It reclines pretty far back, almost supine, and does take some weight/effort to get it there. It does not glide while the footrest is out. It can take some extra effort to put the footrest back into place and it's noisy to "click" in. I've found a trick to putting it in quietly is to pull the lever up while pushing the footrest back into place. Overall, we're pleased with this purchase.
