I wanted a grey dresser but had a hard time finding one that was simple as I didn't want it to be the focal point in the room. This dresser fit the bill. I actually am using this in my master bedroom and just wanted a mid-size simple dresser. Arrived one day earlier than expected. Packaged VERY well and there was no damage on any of the pieces. I am single and was able to put the entire dresser together by myself in about 3 hours. It was easy to put together and I had no problems--just put on a movie and went to work. Drawers fit the first time I slid them in, nothing out of balance or crooked. The color is just as pictured....a very nice grey. I will be purchasing some new drawer pulls just to give it a little 'lift' since it is in my master (vs baby room which is what it was intended for). The drawers slide nicely. As it is geared for a nursery, the drawers are not very deep. As I am using this in my master I would have liked a bit deeper drawer, but of course I didn't expect this since it is for a nursery. My only thought if using it in a kids room is that the drawers could 'pop' out if a child were yanking on them or rough housing with them (which I would hope they wouldn't, but cannot guarantee that a toddler won't do that). Nonetheless, I would be very satisfied if I were using it in a nursery or child's room. Great buy! I highly recommend! ... show more

If you're like me you read the reviews and get wary of the the negative ones. Usually I don't purchase things with consistently bad reviews but I was desperate to have the matching set and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. Packaging was great, lots of Styrofoam and wrap to prevent in-box damage. Outer box has a few dings but no damage to any pieces. Pieces were clearly labeled and instructions were clear on how to assemble. If you can do ikea furniture you can do this! I bought actual wood screws for this project on the advice of other reviewers and glad I did. Building went flawless and I did it alone in under 2 hours. My only qualm is that this dresser is smaller than one would expect for the price and that the drawers on my unit slowly slide open. This is likely due to how I assembled it and will be able to fix my mistake. ... show more

The box was a little battered when arrived, but the contents inside were wrapped and secured. We bought the slate color and there were no markings or chips. Very easy to assemble, but definitely recommend an electric drill when putting the drawers together.

I'm baffled by all the positive reviews and claims of easy assembly. Although the dresser looks nice now that it's put together, it took hours to assemble. A little narrative description for the instructions would have gone a long way towards making them more helpful, but the company did not provide any textual explanation---just drawings. The bottoms of the drawers are made of a cheap, flimsy material that I doubt will hold up, and the top is attached with these wooden dowels that make it unlikely the dresser would hold together if picked up from the top. One of the drawers was damaged and the top came scratched; although the manufacturer provided good service in replacing a drawer front and sending touch-up paint, it took a week for these parts to arrive. If you want to buy this thing, I'd recommend paying a third-party installer to put up with the aggravation. The packaging included styrofoam that flaked off everywhere and clung to all the parts; I suspect we will be finding pieces of it for years, if this dresser lasts years. I think you could assemble this with a regular screwdriver, but as others have mentioned, an electric screwdriver is helpful. ... show more

Package arrived undamaged and in a timely manner. Took my husband about 2.5-3 hours to set up. The changing tray that I bought for the top fits perfectly with some space on the side for diapers/wipes. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dresser is so expensive, it is sturdy but it is on the smaller side not sure if it's truly worth 400 dollars. Just want to mention since the majority of the negative reviews regarding this product had to do with assembly... my husband built this in less than 2 hours and he had to stop and charge his drill. The dresser is lovely and perfect for a nursery and at a great price. It's not very heavy or thick wood construction but it's exactly what I was looking for. Very happy with the delivery and very fortunate to have a husband that is super handy. If the reviews regarding assembly worry you, you have to take in consideration the skill level of who will be putting yours together and that of the reviewers.
