the product was very well packaged, no damage or scratches any where. It only took my husband 2.5 hours to assemble it following the instructions. There's some thin cardboard used in this dresser, on the back of the dresser, and the bottom of the drawers and a thicker one on the top where the baby will lay. But all other parts of wood and outside facing wood veneer. My husband made a comment that it was a better quality than Ikea dressers!!! The package did NOT include "hole caps", cover the holes where the screws went in on the outside of the dresser. We looked for them in the packaging; however, did not find any. then looked at the "parts included list" and did not see it on the list as well. That is disappointing, those parts cost less than $1 for all the 20 needed. I contacted Amazon customer service, they were so very helpful, amazing service. Then contacted the dealer about the caps and they immediately told me they can potentially be a safety hazard, they can fall out of picked out by a small child's fingers so they don't include them. Easy to assemble, size is good for a one year old. Wish they made the rails a little higher. It’s almost impossible to find a sheet for the pad. I’ve ordered 3 different types and none seem to fit. Drawers are a decent size not the best quality but you get what you pay for

First thing first, I read the reviews before I purchased this item and I hired a handyman to put the dresser together for me. Unless you are really good at furniture assembly, it does appear to be on the complicated side to put together and requires two people to assemble it. There are a lot of parts. That being said, I LOVE the dresser. The espresso color matches perfectly to the Kendall crib I purchased at PBK. The price point of this dresser is unbeatable. It's not 100% perfect and not the most amazing dresser I've ever seen, but it's also not a million dollars so I'm not sure what the one negative review is about. Overall, the price is great, the look and color is great. All new baby items smell a little when they arrive out of the box. Just assemble it and air it out before baby comes. It's very functional and will serve me well for the next few years it's in use. The changing pad that comes with the item you'll just toss and get a contoured $15 one. If the veneer/wood chips, just get a $2 dollar wood colored pen and fill it in. This is a great dresser/changing table for the price. ... show more

Purchased this beginning of January & my boyfriend (and 12 year old son's assistance) finally got around to assembling it today. It took them around an hour to put together and I absolutely love it! It's strong and sturdy and very quality -- especially for the price. It's a hefty little peice that gets PERFECTLY where I imagined it'd fit. To be honest, I was expecting something a little smaller and less roomy in the drawers - but it's bigger and better than I imagined. It fits perfectly! I rate this product 5 stars all around.
