Okay, I looked at the reviews prior to buying as you probably are now and could not see one for my specific vehicle. For the price of it, it’s pretty damn good. Installation was not super easy as everyone says but I’ve never installed one before and found a video on YouTube for this specific radio installed on a 2016 Camry and it was pretty much the same. You will need a Philips screw driver and a 10 Mill socket with an extension. You will need to use the bracket and some of the clips from your original radio so don’t just toss it when you take out the old one. I used every connection it came with except the extra microphone because when I tested it without it, it sounded the same as with the original radio. It is not an absolute perfect fit (only part that doesn’t fit perfectly is on the climate controls). Everywhere else it looks spot on. It responds well and is fast, I’m using apple car play with it and I think I need to update the app on the radio because the Maps does lag a little while you start driving. Lastly the only thing I’m having trouble with is the radio will stop playing music when I go into reverse, it will continue to play when I place the car in any other gear though, and I have not found any information on how to fix that yet I’m hoping it’s just a software update needed. Overall if you’re not sure if you can install it; trust me you can. I got my radio on a Friday night, installed it on a Saturday and it only took me about two hours by myself. I did make a few mistakes and had to play with the wiring a little bit but it wasn’t bad overall. Just need the right tools. (I did not have a panel removal tool I just used my hands) If you’re worried it won’t work, I can’t speak for everyone in the review section whose didn’t work but if you install it correctly you should be fine. And lastly the life spand or longevity of the radio itself, I can’t say yet but I’ll come back to this in 6 months and give an update. ... show more

Purchased this unit in October, it was working fine. Now only 2 months later the unit turns on and off continuously, about every 3 to 4 minutes. Very disappointing for the amount it coast. Had to reinstall the OEM radio. I Wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone.

I ordered this radio for my son’s 2014 Camry a month before Christmas, 1 week later it went on sale. I contacted them and they refunded me over $100 to match the sale price. I installed the radio in about 25 minutes after watching a few of the install videos online. The instructions for backup camera are not great but after testing a few different connections I got it up and running. I don't usually do product reviews, but this time I think it's necessary because when I was looking for information about this unit, I couldn't find something that was specific to my car model, a 2015 Toyota Camry. Pro: 1. Sound goes up a bit, I didn't know my car speakers could sound this good, this requires a bit of equalizer customization, but the difference in sound is noticeable. 2. In my case I have an Android phone, so I will talk about my experience with Android car play, it connects easily, the screen resolution is good even on the sunniest days, it has the latest version installed, everything works very well, you can call, it is heard and they hear you well, Google map and Waze work correctly and the Spotify interface is beautiful. 3. All the buttons and functions of the steering wheel work perfectly, there is nothing to say that it does not work or does not do what I want regarding this issue. 4. Although it is the same reversing camera but seeing it on a screen with a better resolution makes it look much better and with more detail. 5. I was able to install a YouTube app directly on the Android car play and this is great, it gives it a plus and is easier than using the default YouTube app on the Vivid unit OS, which you necessarily need to have a Wi-Fi connection or hotspot. 6. The unit looks excellent quality and follows the pattern of the previous sound player, but looks more modern and elegant. The cons: 1. I paid for the installation, I didn't want to deal with cables or problems installing it since I am not an expert, there are people who can do it by watching a video on YouTube, if you are like me add an extra $120 for installation by someone specialized in the topic. 2. When I make or receive a call while in Android car auto, the Vivid system takes me to its native app and when I end the call, I have to look for the Android car play icon to get back into the app, I still haven't figured out how to fix it. 3. The kit leaves a small gap between the center panel of the vehicle and the kit, it's small but it shows, they were able to make it fit better. 4. The touch panel of the screen is not the best, there are areas where the contact is made next to the button that one is pressing, it is something that could also have been improved. Conclusion: I highly recommend this product, you will notice the change in sound and modern appearance, in the past I had bought equipment from this brand for my wife's car, a 2014 Camry and to date it works fine 1 year later, so take advantage and make one Upgrade your vehicle, they will feel like they are in a new 2023 vehicle. ... show more
