So far, my mind is absolutely blown with this radio system, it is completely plug and Play, with the built-in amp, my audio sounds fantastic, steering wheel controls I was able to program in not even 1 minute, the quality is fantastic, fits right into the dashboard, and it gives the truck interior a nice modern look. There are still so many options I haven't even tinkered with yet, as of this point in time, I definitely recommend this system! Also, the seller even message me on their own free will to make sure that my radio is working, and even offered suggestions and advice to tweak the system as need be, obviously they very much appear to care about their customers, which makes me recommend this seller that much more. ... show more

My goal was to find a plug-in replacement which provides Bluetooth / Android Auto / Carplay functionality while preserving my backup camera and steering wheel controls. For installation, I mounted the GPS antenna on top of the unit, and CAN bus module under the unit, using adhesive foam tape. I did not connect the external mic, extra USB ports, or RCA pre-outs. I don't have unlimited data, so I use this without tethering to my phone. Likes: Boot time is very quick, perhaps faster than the stock headunit. Backup camera, steering wheel controls, and radio worked out-of-the-box. Includes GPS software that works standalone (no phone, no internet). Equalizer works nicely. Though not a requirement for me, door open and HVAC information worked out-of-the-box. Dislikes: There is no bracket to bolt into the dash; only the clips hold the unit in place. I worry about safety in a front-end collision. The unit should be secured by at least two bolts. For the price, they could have included multiple frames for different model years, which clip around the unit. This would obviate the need to cut incompatible tabs. The ZLink application disconnects Android Auto intermittently. Hoping a software update will eventually resolve this. The OS forbids changing media and notification volume separately. As such, notification volume is annoyingly loud compared to music. There are too many radio presets, making it hard to navigate. 6 would be fine. ... show more

    • Too Many Issues To List!!
This thing has so many software bugs and glitches that if it were a name brand, they would have went bankrupt. First, the positives: 1. The pre-amp through an amplifier and high end speakers sound AMAZING! Huge improvement over the stock deck! 2. The display screen resolution looks great and I streamed Game of Thrones on HBO Max with it amd it was great! Now, the bad: The Scout operating system is buggy, ugly, and slow. It was so bad that tech support suggested that I flash to the Vivid OS, which I did, following their instructions. While the interface is no longer ugly, it still has so many bugs that I wish I would have got a refund while I still could. Nobody can hear my hands free calls because the built-in microphone is awful. Android-auto battles the OS, making many things inoperable, or you have to keep changing screens, which is horribly laggy. I really only use this deck for Spotify and Google Maps, and more times than not, I make it out of my parking structure and 1/4 to 1/2 way around the block before they are both set to go, which is several minutes. Sometimes it just doesnt work at all. I think Im going to file a claim against my credit card and get my money back. 1 star. Do not buy this. ... show more

Fits in my 2016 Corolla S Plus. Looks and works great. It was frustrating to install, I would not recommend this for a beginner without some proper instructions, which are not included. See below for some tips. I finally got it installed. I tried searching online for installation tips before buying this - I highly recommend watching 2 videos. The second one is probably the most important! Search Youtube for "Dasaita 10.2 Corolla" and look for John Nguyen. The link to the 2nd video is in the comments of the first video. Installation tips: #1 - Three plastic clips/pieces on the top bezel need to be cut off. I used diagonal cutters (dikes). Not that big of a deal, just need to know which ones. Hold it against the dash and look at where the holes line up. The ones that need cut are all on the top. The bottom and sides all line up. #2 - You have to take the yellow and white clips off the factory unit and put them on this one #3 - You have to remove the stock stereo bezel from the long dash panel. It pulls straight off. Be careful not to break the clips when you remove it #4 - The bottom of this display unit sits in front of the dash panel. When I first looked, this display is WAAAY too big to fit in that hole. It doesn't fit in it....the bottom of the display is in front of the bezel (see attached picture from bottom). The default navigation app is "igo primo". By default it has about 20 "favorite" spots, which are all in Chinese. I just deleted them. The maps loaded in my area were a bit dated (over 3 years old). I found free map updates on google. Just search, they were not hard to find. Some apps are not available from the play store with this version of android. Again, I found the apk on google and used the APK installer to get everything to work. There is a forum on XDA-Developers that provide software updates and lots of other questions being answered. I suggest checking it out. Again, just google "xda developers Dasaita 10.2" and you can find it. Overall, I really like the unit. It was not easy to install but once it was in everything was good. It came with a piece of paper with an e-mail address for technical support. It sounds sketchy, but I actually got a response (twice) within 24 hours.
