I bought the custom-fit 15-17 Camry PX6 after a YT video made install seem quick and easy. I'm a seasoned amateur installer, but this is not a 2-hour job, more like 4 even with no hiccups. TAKE YOUR TIME – DON'T RUSH! Check all functions before dash reassembly. I had audio within 3 hours, but troubelshooting took another hour. Unit IS technically plug-and-play, but certain connections (antenna / USB / rearview camera) are easy to miss on this model Camry. Clips and trim can break, so be gentle. Final fit is imperfect, but not terrible. Instruction sheet is too small and near-useless with minimal troubleshooting in flawed Mandarin to English translations – common with Chinese products. To prevent unit and trim damage, rest unit face-down on its bottom foam in the box, positioned in front of the installation area, unbagged slightly. This keeps it stable while sorting out connections, preventing potential unit and wiring damage. I placed the GPS receiver and coiled its wire in the channel between the dash vents for better reception. JBL-equipped Camrys may not allow this. I used everything supplied except the external mic – the internal one is sufficient. Installation requires HVAC control removal. These controls separate easily from the OEM unit, for easy reconnection while the rest is sorted out, just a few screws. But if ignition is turned on without them, SRS light and code will appear. Unit function is decent for the price. Unit has extended EQ and DSP tuning to improve sound, making individual speaker level adjustments possible. Limited access to OEM vehicle setup options via standard Android interface. One note, unit can either do CarPlay or screen mirroring, not both. While the seller was quick to point this out, I'm not sure they were aware of some other caveats. Mirroring is supported, but it's imperfect and means compromise and finagling. It only works with Wuhan’s EasyConnect app, which must also be installed on both the unit AND the mirroring device, supposedly via WLAN or USB, but so far only USB works. For my purposes of mirroring a taxi meter app while driving, “Allow watching video while driving” must be enabled, or parking brake release will blank the screen. Touching either screen made the unit blank out, so retaining it in landscape was a bit tricky with auto-rotate. Installing apps from Play Store is easy with hotspot access. Keep in mind, certain OEM features with OEM equipment may not be accessible where it might be obvious, but once you understand this, you get used to it. I originally rated this 4 stars, however, the Gmail app has crashed at startup for the past several months, requiring I use a web browser for manual sign-in. I can’t seem to find any provisions for a firmware update to correct this, which drops my rating to 3 stars. I bought into the idea that this was a trusted and solid brand but was not very impressed in this model. The costly extra RAM doesnt perform as fast as I thought it would and the screen lag easily leads to wrong selections because it doesnt swipe very fast (as advertised). Also, the tabs on the bottom which are suppose to lock into the AC module broke off in two minutes. Although this unit does have a decent sound I wish I bought another choice of higher quality and materials. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. If you are upgrading from a tape deck like me this will do. Just got my car a week ago from 2004 Camry to 2017 and the stock radio was not living up to the hype of getting a new-ish car. This Dastida is ok but if you’re looking for perfection and a seem-less interface this is not it. I love it but I’m ok with to the glitches that come with androids. Pro It looks AWESOME It can do a lot, apps apps and more apps, Amazon music, Alexa, outlook, car play, Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, Twitter and more. The sound is great, that could just be my car’s speakers. It fits in my car well. Has a lot of customization Navigation is great. Aux works Comes with extra USB ports, I put the extras in my glove box so I can plug a phone in to charge. Cons Radio antenna sticks up above the dash. Unless I’m supposed to put it inside the car, I don’t know When you take the head unit out and put the new head unit in the big circular buttons that control the music volume go with the old one so you have to use the steering wheel buttons or the plus/minus on the screen to control the volume, I didn’t notice until I went to turn it down. Does a lot but not 100% well. Glitches about 7% of the time, but my iPhone does that to soooooo. Takes about 1-3 minutes from boot to working. Car play doesn’t connect automatically all the time. Bluetooth Is finicky. You need to be technically ok because its a bit complicated not really but you can’t be a boomer trying to work this thing. Expensive. A lot of foreign apps you can’t take off. Camry 2016 OEM radio wasn't all that great, and I found myself looking for something that provided more functionality, as well as better sound for my music. This Dasaita PX6 head unit does just that. Installation was fairly simple. It is basically just plug and play with the existing OEM wires. It comes with an external microphone if you want to set that up as well - but there is one built into the unit that works well. I watched this video on YouTube which helped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yv-outtqoxU&t=1088s The unit takes about 30-45 seconds to start up. Once it's ready, it moves fast and no lag that I've noticed. It has a built in app called Zlink for Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Android Auto does take a moment to load, but it's not a big deal - it provides so much more functionality than a standard radio you find in most cars. The user interface of the head unit itself is good. It's straight forward and easy to navigate - I just prefer Android Auto. But those who use this head unit without carplay or auto will be happy. The sound is so much better after installing the unit. Just make sure to enable some of the amplifier app settings (app is built in). I had no idea my little Camry speakers could sound that good. Was one of the main reasons I looked into replacing the OEM radio - glad I did. Pros: - Looks really nice - Bluetooth connection to phone is dependable - Sound is drastically improved - Easy to install Cons: - Unit does take a moment to start, esp if you're using Android Auto or CarPlay - Installing Apps on the Play Store is a bit of hit or miss, sometimes the app just crashes to the home screen.
