SOLID budget case
You literally won't find a better case at this price point. Absolutely terrific value. It's not much bigger than the case I replaced, which was about the same price when I bought it 10 months ago, but everything is just structured better, and the metal doesn't feel super cheap. There's more room for a bigger graphics card (340mm as opposed to my last case's max of 280mm), so there's plenty of space for upgrades. Cable management was a breeze with the abundance of holes and openings for cables to go to all the right places on my motherboard. Also, there's plenty of space on the rear side of the case for cable management, with more than enough cable tie points. The PSU shroud is nice and roomy as well, with an included hard drive bay tucked inside, which I appreciate, as my last case did not include one. The shroud also allows for even better cable management, especially if you're using a non-modular PSU with extra cables that you don't need. I just bundled them up and zip tied them together and tucked them away, allowing my case to stay fairly clean and open for maximum airflow, while also not making me worry if I would be able to get my side panel back on without a fight. The swiveling tempered-glass side panel that is fully removeable is a nice touch. With the mesh front panel, bottom and top vents (with dust filters; the top filter being magnetic), and rear exhaust, the case feels practically open for lots of air flow. As far as noise level, as with any mostly-open, high-volume airflow case, it strongly depends on your setup. With room for up to eight (8) 120mm case fans, or six (6) 120mm fans and two (2) 140mm fans (top vent), there's lots of room for efficient cooling. But if you're like me, you don't care too much about the noise, as you tend to tune it out when you're immersed in an intense gaming session. So, I have my GPU switched to performance mode, and my case fans are set to keep things nice and chilly, so it can get a bit noisy at times, but again, nothing that really bothers me too much. If you have a dual-BIOS GPU set to quiet mode, and have your fans fine-tuned to perform at maximum efficiency with minimal noise, the openness of the case, while creating the possibility for more noise exposure, also allows for plenty of airflow for efficient cooling, allowing your fans to keep things moving at a nice, low dB. Overall, it's a solid case. As stated at the beginning, you won't find a better value case for the price.

Inexpensive
Every case in this price range will have some frustrating features. I'll get to those later. I'm moving a motherboard with CPU and cooler attached from another case to this one. I always install the CPU, tower cooler, memory, and m.2 drives before I put the motherboard in the case anyway. In the past few weeks, I've assembled, disassembled and reconfigured 4 PCs at least 3 times -- just for fun. Your experience may vary. First, there's plenty of room around the sides of an ATX motherboard to get to connections, such as the CPU connection from the PSU on the top back corner, which I've had issues with on other cases. There's plenty of room for longer graphics cards. There's plenty of room for a conventional CPU cooler. Typically, MB screws along the top edge require a long screwdriver if a conventional "tower" cooler is already mounted. This case is no different. I like that the PSU and HDDs are in a compartment at the bottom such that all of the cables are inside the back of the case. I like the magnetic latches for the door, and that it can easily be lifted off the hinges when open. The case metal is rather thin, and bends easily, but that's not unexpected at this price level. It's also pretty easy to bend back for the same reason. It's supposed to take two 140mm fans in the top of the case, but I was only able to fit one 140mm and one 120mm fan in the top, because the CPU power connector interferes with mounting a top rear 140mm fan. It may be difficult to mount a 140mm cooler for the same reason. There are 180-degree adapters that would help with that, but I don't like using more connections than necessary. It would be nice if the HDD mounting bracket had some way to isolate the HDDs from the thin metal. I haven't gotten to the point of turning this on, but I'm sure the noise from the two 10TB WD Red Pro drives will transfer to the case and resonate. They're screwed directly to the thin sheet metal bracket, and it attaches directly to the thin sheet metal case. I believe I can get a dual drive isolator and use that in place of the mount provided. I may do that later if it's too annoying. I also prefer to mount fans using rubber/silicone isolators instead of screws, and it is possible to do that with the three front fans and the rear fan. There are slots instead of holes for mounting fans, and I don't feel that they're necessary. The rubber mounts I'm using might work their way back out of the slots on top, so I used screws. If you want a really quiet case, you'll have to buy a more expensive case than this. It's that simple. I'll update this once it's up and running, but I expect the case will amplify vibrations. It certainly won't dampen them. I'll also add finer screens to the front fans. The grill in the front of the case is sufficient, but it's simple enough to add better ones. At $54, this was a very inexpensive case. The issues are minor for the price. The airflow appears to be sufficient. It has a subdued appearance. It's not flashy, but lends itself well to my purpose. I bought two of these to build matching gaming PCs for my wife and I to use in the living room. This case fits the bill for that, without breaking the bank.

Price point: Budget-friendly
I've had the Dark Rock EC2 case for a few weeks now, and overall it's been a great upgrade. Cable management was surprisingly painless thanks to the generous space behind the motherboard tray and the well-placed routing channels. Everything tucked away neatly without me having to fight the case. Airflow is where this case really shines. With the included fans running at a moderate speed, my temps dropped noticeably compared to my old case — my CPU and GPU are both running several degrees cooler under load. The mesh front panel does a great job pulling in air without letting dust bunnies take over (the included dust filters are a nice touch and easy to pop out and clean). I also appreciate the aesthetic — it's clean and understated rather than over-the-top, with just enough tempered glass to show off the build without feeling like a light show. Fits full-size GPUs and standard ATX motherboards without any tight squeezes. My main criticism is the side panels — they feel a bit thin and have some flex to them, especially compared to the rest of the build. It's not a dealbreaker, but I'd have liked a bit more rigidity there, particularly on the glass panel side. Overall, this case offers great value, solid thermals, and a clean design, even if the panels aren't the most robust part of the build. Would still buy again.

Better than expected. Will be buying again.
Been building for 10 years. Always used Fractal Design cases. They're easy to work with and are solid quality. But they're also expensive. I wanted a cheap case for a spare parts PC. It had to be compact. No fish tanks. Glass panel optional. Good airflow. And under $60. This met everything and more. At no point did I feel frustrated. Not once did I think "this is what I get for paying $60". I will 100% be buying this again. + Glass panel swings like a door. Held by magnets. Easy to pull with a small fabric tab. Easy to disconnect the entire panel from the hinges. Makes dusting and tinkering easy. + Good cable management. Power supply shroud to hide non modular cables. Good routing holes for power supply cables and front port cables. + Two (2) USB 3.0 ports and one (1) USB C port. + One pre-installed fan in the back with a long cable to hook anywhere on your motherboard. + Mesh front for airflow. + Maximum graphics card length is 340mm (shorter than my personal Meshify 2 Compact at 360mm) which makes the case smaller. + Power supply shroud to hide extra non-modular cables. I removed the hard drive cage and strongly recommend you, too, if you don't use a spinning disk. + Tinted (dark) glass panel is surprisingly light. + Generally lightweight. Other reviewers complain it's "flimsy" but the thinner metals is exactly why it's lightweight. Case felt stable the entire time. Weight is a serious concern because these computers go to kids and people with less strength. - Front mesh panel can be difficult to pull off with your hands. Needs decent force. It's held by plastic connectors. When done, it can be confusing to know which side is up or down so do a gentle test before using force to re-connect it. - Installing front fans can be tricky. You need to hold the fans outside the case (with the panel off) while screwing from the inside. Other cases, you hold the fans from the inside and screw from the outside. This can be made much easier with buying a 360mm all-in-one fan (three fans in one with one cable) so you only have to use four (4) screws instead of twelve (12).

Great Smaller Mid Tower Budget Option
I mostly got this case because of the external dimensions and the limited space on my desk. This Darkrock case was the most affordable readily available case I could find that had everything I was looking for: hinged glass door, bottom airflow and ATX compatibility. The case is very light due to the thinner metal construction and does have a bit of flex (just don't throw it out a window and I think you'll be ok). The tempered glass door is fairly light as well and easy to remove and install thanks to the clever hinge pin placement: the bottom and top pins are offset with the lower pin sitting higher allowing you to align the bottom pin first and then the top instead of trying to align them both at once. The pull tab on the door is a cloth ribbon loop. Not crazy about that but I'm sure I can replace it with something more permanent if it were to ever rip/tear. There is plenty of room in the back and in the bottom for cable management but I always recommend people use modular or semi modular power supply units because they are so much easier to manage. Airflow is great and everything stays cool though I am not running a super powered rig. I am using an ATX mobo that has a lot of headers at the bottom. Things were a little tight but everything is connected with the exception of the USB3 ports from the control panel. Because I'm running bottom intake fans and the placement of the header at the bottom of the mobo and the length of the plug from the control panel I had to order a right angle adapter for the USB3 cable which is actually something I suspected I would have to do when I ordered the case. For installation I highly recommend placing your mobo loose in the case first, running all top and bottom cable connections you can and then screw your mobo to the case after. It might save you some frustration if you have larger hands and or fingers. Overall I am very pleased with this case and how it has turned out so far. If I ever do get a bigger desk I probably will go with a larger case just to get a little bit more internal space and make things easier to work on.

Surprizingly good case for little money
I haven't done a build in a while and was looking for an inexpensive case to build in. Primary considerations were a small case, good air flow, flexible air/water cooler options and one with multiple USB 3.0s on the front including a USB-C connector. I also needed 160mm of cpu cooler height. MB = MSI Z790 MAG Tomahawk Wifi. Nice to have: Screwed in slot covers! Seems like many inexpensive cases have the stamped in covers that once you twist them off you can't put them back and worse yet, leave a nice sharp edge. Air filters, top and bottom. Not a single sharp edge to be found. Easy remove front panel. Wish it had: a nice removable magnetic filter for the front fans. A removable top so I could have more easily got to the CPU power connectors and top mounting screws for the motherboard. Taller feet. With this case sitting on carpet the bottom air intake for the power supply is almost totally blocked. My case arrived in perfect condition. No dents, dings, cracks and no scratches. 6 mb standoffs were mounted, 3 in the parts bag needed for the full ATX MSI mb I used. The holes all lined up. I ended up with lots of extra screws presumably for drive mounting and fan mounting. The build was a very easy. I removed the HDD mount box (easy to do) to plug in the Modular power cables and used that area to stuff all the excess cables. Keeping the flat cables flat as they travel across under the mb gave them plenty of room. The front mount cables all easily reached their destinations on the mb. Added 3 older 120mm Scythe fans to the front, plugged in the video card and I was done. My storage is all nvme SSD mounted on the mb so I didn't have to mess with mounting SATA or HDD devices. Final testing, all of the front panel (top) connectors work, USB and audio. Switches work (PWR & Reset). I'm happy to recommend this box if it meets your criteria.

Great for gaming rebuild
Great price, friend rebuilt my gaming comp and it worked well with things I needed. Its sturdy, door on side opens for easy access, lots of air flow for fans. Door is glass, most of the top and all of the front has vent holes. Its very sleek looking. And was able to put alot of ports on top as well as the back of the computer.

Great case with one problem.
I was searching for a small affordable atx case and this case is pretty good. More than enough room for everything you would need and generous cable management area in the back and bottom. End result was perfect. One warning though. I read some reviews regarding the motherboard standoffs and its true that the screws provided are too big to completely thread in without stripping the standoffs from the case. I managed to remove my motherboard with the stripped standoffs still attached with the screw. After I removed them, I replaced all the standoffs with some startech ones I luckily had. They're a little bigger and the screws fit them perfectly. If you buy this case, replace the standoffs with the size standoff in my review picture. You're welcome.
