Metal hits at a unique time for DC comics. They're in the middle of the multi-year Watchmen reveal and readers are waiting to see where the pieces land of the classic DCU and the New 52. At a time when every behind the scenes could be the work of Dr Manhattan (or Jor El?), I suggest you take a break from the ratrace and dry Dark Nights: Metal. Metal is a cocktail comprised of classic DC nostalgia, Snyder/Capullo's Batman run, diesel fuel and Jagermeister. Read this over time as the issues came out but my wife wanted one consolidated place to read it all. So it arrived and she was like, "Is this book made out of metal, it's heavy AF." No honey, it's just that many issues of comics. So off came the dust cover so it didn't get damaged and in she dove. She really enjoyed the darker side DC chose to go with this and the introduction of so many ancillary characters. A+ writing by the whole DC team. ... show more

The only problem my head is the collector to me did not want to open the pristine packaging. I should’ve ordered two. 1 to read 1 to collect. Illustrations are wonderful and OnPoint recommend highly!
