I have installed the unit a couple of days ago and have used it several times. The description of the item is fairly accurate. The application I am using the 3000 plug in type, works as intended. It warms the water up that is coming right out of a well about 10 feet away (which is pretty cool to begin with even in the central CA area at winter time) in my storage shed to wash my hands with after getting hands dirty in a sink set-up that I have put together out of an old bathroom vanity sink cabinet. M'Lady doesn't like me to dirty her sinks up washing my hands in the house as sometimes I make a pretty big mess. I would not use the unit for a shower as of the water flow would be to great to keep heated. In my set-up, I use the water flow to regulate how warm the water is that I want. The water heater works for my intended use, I was not look for sculling hot water that a bigger priced unit would propably deliver. ... show more

Poor quality puts out maybe 1/2 cup of hot water after 10 minute warm up then the water is cold again. Total waste of money!

Great for hand sink. A little slow to get water warm during winter. Did not know that it included a remote control. Did not receive an instruction or owners manual, had to figure out by trial and error. I had to complete job to pass inspection.

I own two of these units for the lab. They contain a very solidly made resistive ceramic element that heats with 3000 watts. The unit also sports a flow meter and an intake water temperature sensor. It neatly displays the temperature input and output and the flow. But there are several cons: - can only heat @300W which means that you need a 30 amps breaker and at low flow rates the output is unstable. - has a minimum flow below which it won't heat (around 3 gallons a minute) - clogs extremely easily: the flow meter obstructs the tubing and any small debris will clog the heater - the two connectors are not mounted well - if you torque the hose connectors, they come loose and damage the temperature control ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The current draw is 31 Amps at 120 volts That's 3720 watts. Which is a lot of power for only a trickle of of Luke warm water. That's what I call a big waste of time and money. I don't recommend it at all. It cost me about $150 in parts, and 2 hrs of my time to get a 30 amp outlet with breaker installed to supply it. The plug it came with was 14 ga wire. That's not made to handle 30 amps. It should have been 10 gauge wire. ... show more

I needed this to supplement our big tankless heater for a low flow >0.5L and low > 0.5psi machine. The temperature is all over the place inconsistent. It will start heating at 1.5L min flow. Was hoping for a sensitive activation. It also changes the velocity of the water flow. If you need this for a mini sink, it might do the trick just fine. I will have to return it. ... show more
