I have installed the unit a couple of days ago and have used it several times. The description of the item is fairly accurate. The application I am using the 3000 plug in type, works as intended. It warms the water up that is coming right out of a well about 10 feet away (which is pretty cool to begin with even in the central CA area at winter time) in my storage shed to wash my hands with after getting hands dirty in a sink set-up that I have put together out of an old bathroom vanity sink cabinet. M'Lady doesn't like me to dirty her sinks up washing my hands in the house as sometimes I make a pretty big mess. I would not use the unit for a shower as of the water flow would be to great to keep heated. In my set-up, I use the water flow to regulate how warm the water is that I want. The water heater works for my intended use, I was not look for sculling hot water that a bigger priced unit would propably deliver. ... show more

Doesn’t work well.
Installed unit. Plumbed water system & checked for leaks. Turned heater on and water was maybe slightly lukewarm. Left it running for five minutes at higher setting and it tripped the breaker. It never got hot. Total junk. Just needed it for a utility sink at my shop. I’m very dissatisfied. Don’t waste your money on this heater. Spend the extra $$ for a 1-2.5 gallon reservoir unit. ... show more

Good product
It does it’s job. Very compact and works really well. The only down side is that it spends a lot of energy. But since it is only used when you use hot water is no big deal.

Missing remote and owners manual.
Great for hand sink. A little slow to get water warm during winter. Did not know that it included a remote control. Did not receive an instruction or owners manual, had to figure out by trial and error. I had to complete job to pass inspection.

low price and lots of features but also many, many limitations
I own two of these units for the lab. They contain a very solidly made resistive ceramic element that heats with 3000 watts. The unit also sports a flow meter and an intake water temperature sensor. It neatly displays the temperature input and output and the flow. But there are several cons: - can only heat @300W which means that you need a 30 amps breaker and at low flow rates the output is unstable. - has a minimum flow below which it won't heat (around 3 gallons a minute) - clogs extremely easily: the flow meter obstructs the tubing and any small debris will clog the heater - the two connectors are not mounted well - if you torque the hose connectors, they come loose and damage the temperature control ... show more

Do Not Buy This Product
The descriptions are very misleading! After three months of non-use….we found that you have to have a 40amp breaker for this to work. Ok! So we call the electrician and found out that yes we need a forty amp box but the unit has a 110 plug! You can function a 110 with a 40 amp! Have not been able to use it once! Water warmer
Although this little guy is easy to install it absolutely is incapable of turning cold water into hot water. I was excited for this item. I thought I had found the solution to my RV water supply. Not only will it not heat the water past 71° even though the temperature is set to 112° it pulls so many amps that it trips a 30 Amp breaker. I bought this item months ago at the begining of my restoration project and am now hoping I can return it. I would definitely NOT recommend purchasing this unit. ... show more
