Right out of the box, they fit my feet like a glove, and I did not need to put in my own orthotics. Though since the foot bed is removable I would be able to do so, which I greatly appreciate and look for in shoes. So they offer a lot of support as well as comfort and quality. Bottom of the shoe is very firm, which is what my podiatrist recommended for my foot condition. The stitching around the shoe is beautiful and precise. I like the color, a great deal because it’s neutral but also if I’m ever out tromping in the dust, it won’t be that apparent on the shoe I hope! One of my primary activities is walking the dog and going to different dog parks around town. I hope these will help me tackle some hills and mountains! I like the detailing and the different color combinations and the patterns on the side. They are very harmonious and beautifully done. Also, one person commented that the tongue was not waterproof but I’m just gonna spray it with a fabric tent waterproofing product that I do annually with all my coats and shoes anyway. (I live in the Pacific Northwest which is a rainforest.) I’m glad it’s made out of leather cause I think it’s more durable for the variable whether we have around here. I do have a couple pair of mesh shoes, but I can only wear them a couple months out of the year. I feel very stable walking in them and have yet to test their slip resistance , however I have already tried them out with different thicknesses of wool socks, and they are still comfortable! To me that is the advantage of having laces. I can loosen them for my thickest wool socks when it’s on the cold side and tighten them for thinner, cotton socks when it gets warmer. These are great trail walking/hiking shoes! The fit is true. They required no break in period and they are indeed waterproof! Keen was my go to for years, but they no longer fit my feet. I'm now looking at purchasing other Dansko shoes because of the quality of these!

Bought these for a trip in April to Spain. Will be walking and standing for a lot of time. Have worn them around the house for many days and really forgot I was wearing shoes. Did wear them out running errands and grocery shopping. Fit is perfect, like they were made to order. While the shoes are stiff they don’t feel like they are when they’re on. The stitches are coming out. I haven't worn these much as the insole was falling apart. I bought inserts and have been wearing about two weeks not the stitches are coming out near my toes

Awesome shoe but too small and narrow for me. Wish I could keep but I will have to send it back. I’m a 9.5. 10 is normally too big but description stated European size 40 between 9.5 and 10. Reviews stated roomy toe box so I was hoping it would work. I even consulted a cobbler but she said I needed a half size up. Next size up is 10.5 to 11. That will be too big. Sadly I will be returning it. Wish my size was available. In addition I have wide toe, narrow heel. Very hard to find shoes for my shape foot ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had been looking for shoes that I could wear for a lot of walking without pain due to metatarsalgia. My podiatrist recommended Hoka and Danso shoes for my issue years ago. I now have many styles of each but wanted something not so “sporty/athletic” looking as Hokas are and didn’t want clogs while walking on uneven streets. These fit the bill! I was super impressed after trying many types of shoes! In June, I walked all over Spain for 2 1/2 weeks and didn’t have a flare up! I just bought the light brown color to take to Mexico. (Video shows my used shoes that are a little dirty.) I put my SuperFeet insole in them and they were amazing. I never thought I could walk around that much in anything other than Hokas. ... show more
