  • Great boot worth the wait and money.
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown
Just received the boots was kinda nervous about the sizing . I wear a size 13 in nike and adidas but reebok i wear a 12.5. I have a new pair of the guide great boots from Amazon that are a size 11 and they for perfect I have a pair of Georgia boots that are a doze 11.5 and they are a perfect fit. I tried the Danner quarry boots and the size 12 fit great but I didn't like the style so I order the Danner bull run boots in a 11.5 an these are also a perfect fit. An I wear a size 13 shoe i got lucky and the 11.5 were a great choice anyways. Great boot love the style and fit I'll do a follow up when I have them broken in. ... show more

  • GREAT BOOTS ! (SPORTS MODEL )
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Brown
I did research through the prior comments and found out that these run a little long . I ordered a half size down and I am very happy with the fit !! Very light weight , secure and snug . I have 2 implants and a couple of screws in my left ankle so I've bought many boots so far AND THESE ARE THE ONES!! great material stitching and a hole in the TOUNGE for the laces to go though!! I would have more pictures but I just don't want to take them off ! These are great 👍 and I would say its a medium heavy type of boot NOT too much!! Great summer boot i can tell.. no awkward feeling. ... show more

  • Great work books and comfortable
Size: 9 Color: Brown
Love these boots. The Danner brand has a great fit and is extremely comfortable when you are on the move all day. I have used Danner hiking boots as well. They came out with the BOA® Fit System, so I with I could have waited. But still an incredible pair of boots.

  • Good boot for the price, not great, but really close. Wish I could put down 4.5 stars!
I've of worn these boots for a couple days of work, and I want to give initial impressions. I will update in a few months after breaking them in fully. First off, this is the first Danner boot I've had. You mostly hear online about Danners running narrow, but I believe this applies only to the hiking boots. I tried on a few pairs of Danner work boots in local shops, and they all seemed to run a bit wide and long for their stated size. These fall squarely into that category, I would say. I am typically a 10.5, wide-ish foot. I bought the 10D and it fits great, if not a tiny bit large. For reference, my foot measures 10.5" at the longest and 4" at the widest. (Shout out to the other reviewer who put his foot measurements down - this helped me, thanks! :) I will gain more width in this boot as it breaks in so I am glad I did not go with a EE. Things I like so far: 1. The sole has tons of cushioning. I'm in a warehouse on my feet all day so I needed something with some squish and these deliver. 2. The fit is a good shape for my foot. No hotspots or anything after several full days. I didn't treat the leather immediately like some on here have, although I will in the near future. 3. Leather is thick and the construction is tough. 4. Love the style especially the white sole. I bought them for work but I will wear them out on the town too. 5. Good enough traction for me on ice/snow/wet ground. Not the best ever but it's decent. I don't work around oily surfaces so I can't comment on that. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars... here is why it doesn't get 5 stars: 1. The tongue isn't great. It isn't wide enough up at the top of the boot. If you tie it all the way to the top, you actually have to really tighten down those laces to get either side of the tongue tucked in. Uncomfortably tight, and I can't wear it like that. I could use at least another half inch on either side of it. That's poor design on a boot this pricey, and I believe is what causes the issue others have reported of the tongue slipping to one side. If it shifts just a tiny bit it isn't tucked in any more. Hopefully as the boot stretches this will be less of an issue. 2. Again with the tongue - the "gusset" or whatever you might call it (where the tongue is attached to the body of the boot) is a little too high up. It is kind of a squeeze to get my foot past it. I do have a high volume foot so this is partially the issue, and hopefully, like the other tongue problem, this issue will lessen as the boot stretches and breaks in. Once my foot is in the boot they are quite happy. Later this week I plan on treating the leather. Although they are already mighty comfy so I'm not too worried about speeding up break-in. I haven't decided if I want to use something waxy like Obenhauf LP or more of just a straight conditioner oil-type product. ***Side note... It is shocking how many people put up with months of a boot shredding their feet with the idea that months down the line it will break in and be okay. Try it on in a store, if it doesn't feel great walking around for 15 minutes or so then DON'T BUY IT. Wear it in your house for a few hours. Feet hurting? - SEND IT BACK! There are many good brands of boots out there, and they all fit different shapes of feet. These boots do not have a long break-in unless your foot is wrong for them. /rant Anyway, I'll update this review after a good break in period, but right now I like them a lot. I plan on getting Danners to replace my hiking boots when I need a new pair. ... show more

  • Great Boot
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown
So I recently damaged the upper on my Red Wing boot, which was disappointing since it was a good work boot. Rarely has a work boot or even a shoe lasted me so long. So I decided to pick up this Danner Boot. It looked good online and had some good reviews so I figured, if the shoe fit then I'de give it a try. So far (1 month in) I've been liking it as a work boot. I'm not crazy about the laces or the white sole, but I end up wearing shoes so long that soles get replaced by my shoe cobbler, and laces get replaced once they tear. Anyways, I have made a list of things that I do and don't like about this boot. Things I like about this boot - Fitment. The boot fits really well, I'm an 11 1/2 and european 45 and this boot fits well even though Danner reports this boot to be a 46. My foot doesn't slide at all and I can work all day without blisters or hot feet or sliding around. The toe box is little larger than average, but I find it fine. - Color. I like the leather and the logo is subtle. One thing I hate is shoes that boast their logo all over the shoes. This one is a good looking work boot. - Sole. I like the non-marking sole and that it can be replaced easily. - Height. I like that I moved from a below ankle work boot to above ankle work-boot. I think I would prefer to go to a higher boot: see the list below why. Weight. This boot weighs a decent amount, but I don't get tired thought the day. The first day was not a chore to move the weight around. Things I don't like about this boot. - Break In Period. Most boots require a break in period of a couple days, to a month. I'm currently one month in and my feet still hurt at the end of the day from the shoe not giving in. This boot takes a long time to break in. I've been walking to lunch in these boots to try to break them in faster. Lexol has been smothered on them, but my friend told me he had to put Lexol on every three days to help it break in faster. I'm not a fan of the length of break in, but once they are broken in, I'm sure I'll love them. The harder the break in period, the longer the shoe should last. My friend also told me that If I had purchased the 8-inch or taller boot, then it wouldn't be digging into my calf so bad. So I probably should have gone with the 8 inch or taller. - Tongue. Something is weird about the tongue of the shoe. The left tongue on my Danner won't stay up, it shifts to the left. The right tongue is the same way, it moves to the right. And my last pair of shoes didn't have this problem at all. It might be that the shoe isn't broken in yet, or that I got a bad batch, I'm not exactly too sure, but the problem is so minor that I won't knock any stars. We'll see in a couple more months. So that's my opinion of this boot. Hope you found it helpful. ... show more
