Made very well, fit great once you figure out how tight or loose to tie them. Probably wouldn’t hurt to get insoles. Then again it would be difficult to get the feel of a brooks running shoe. Work boots or everyday boots, not bad

Well made, arrived on time and in good packaging. Husband is 340 lbs, 14 Regular and uses these for work. He says they don't hurt, but they aren't specifically comfortable either. He stated that he likes the boots overall, just feel like they aren't 100% comfortable. Purchased these on a recommendation from his brother who loves the boots. We are aware that his weight is working against him, and how his feet will feel.

I have only had these for just under two weeks now but have already worn them maybe about 5-6 times. I’m usually a size 10D in athletic shoes but a size 9D fit me just right. The feel right out of the box was amazing for me with the exception for the “collar” that wraps around the lower shin. where there was some irritation from the stiff leather. I did wear thick socks to help and now with the same socks I can’t feel the collar dig into my leg anymore. I’m sure there is still some breaking in to do and hopefully they only get more comfortable the more I wear them. I really don’t have anything negative to date except for maybe a couple observations; First, I really didn’t like the laces so I replaced them with some leather ones that I found here in amazon and they looked fantastic. Secondly, as expected the white wedge soles are pretty hard to keep clean, they are white and if you are trying to keep them white you will have to spend sometime cleaning them often. The leather on these boots feels of high quality and the construction of the boot feels to be of good craftsmanship. I have a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers (size 8D) as well and they are not nearly as comfortable out of the box or even after being broken in. They are very different boots but the comfort of the wedge sole surprised me to the point that I feel like they should be compared. I do have a pair of Red Wing Moc Toes (8131) arriving in the next couple of days which is a direct competitor with the Bull Run Moc Toe and I’m dieing to see how they compare. All in all I am a huge fan of this boot and I’m excited to see how they age and I will definitely update this review if anything changes in how I feel about this boot.

I wanted these boots to be good, they just weren’t. Wore for 2 weeks and broke in after the first. I walk 20k plus steps a day doing Commercial/Industrial HVACR, and these just don't cut it. Major issue is the lining, particularly in the toe box. Its sewn up against where the toe box hits the tongue, and the factory left so much extra material that it adds half an inch of lining material bound up in the toe box. Additionally the stitch down flange in the front of the boot started coming unglued after a day of wear. QC appears to be poor at danners factory based off all the loose stitching and tooling marks all over the boot as soon as I got it. I’m returning these for something worth the money. If you’re in the 250 range i’d go for a thorogood moc or redwing. I’ve had both. If you work don't buy these, if you have feet, also don’t buy these. Lol.

This boot seems to run wider than other Danners, probably due to the mock toe. It fits just right but if you normally order a wide (W) in Danners consider just the normal D in these. Overall great boots, I wore them out in some slick light snow and they are truly anti slip compared to other boots I own. I can't wait for them to get broken in, as a well worn pair of Danners are among the most comfy footwear in existence. Made in USA and durable, Danner is my go to. I have a pair pushing 10 years that are still serviceable and ultra comfy and with Danner's resoling service (something I plan to take advantage of soon) they will last another decade easy. There are a few things America still makes that noone else can compete with and quality boots are one of them. Buy USA made over that Chinese crap, yes you will spend more but they will last 10 times as long and you will have the piece of mind that you are supporting American craftsmen and an American industry. We also wore Danners in the Marine Corps, so there is that too.

Oh yeah! As soon as I put these on, I knew they were the correct choice! I threw some leather laces in them and now we shall see how long they last. I’ve got high hopes!! I’ll be buying a separate color for none work stuff immediately. So there that good in my opinion. I’ve been wearing boots for work for 30+ years and have had all the name brands. Kinda pissed I didn’t try these earlier in my career. Just buy them, you won’t regert it 😉
