These bowls are not thick or heavy, but I ordered them to work in my Ninja Foodi and the microwave. I have used the small one in the Ninja Foodi, and it fit and worked well. I have not tried them in the microwave, yet. But the description states they are microwave-wave safe. One complaint I noted was that the lids don’t fit. The lids fit. This is how to get them to fit. With your thumb on the top of the lid on the edge of the bowl, walk the rest of your fingers under the bowl’s edge, tucking the rim of the bowl under the lid. Great bowls, but the bigger three are smaller than advertised. The biggest bowl is 4 quarts instead of 5, the second biggest is about 3 1/2 instead of 4 quarts , and the third biggest is about 2 1/2 quarts instead of 3. So if you are looking for specific sizes just know these are smaller than what is shown. ... show more

These are way better than my heavy stack of scratched Pyrex bowls! These are light and shiny and easy to clean AND put away. I am in my 70s and wish I had discovered these decades ago. Did I say pretty, as well?

Light on weight, feel flimsy. Also the plastic lids do not seal or stay on well at all. I would never buy these again as I wanted to try them before getting a set for home.
