I have been wanting a canvas bell tent for a really, really long time, but was not willing to buy one at the typical $1,000+ price point that most of these tents are sold for. After planning a weeklong festival trip with a total of 5 people, I figured it was time to buy a bell tent. This tent is amazing for the price. I can’t imagine there’s much difference between this and the super expensive ones. It is extremely easy to set up, having only 2 “pole” type structures that go on the INSIDE of the tent, instead of being strung through holes and loops like typical tents. The rest of the tent is easily set up with stakes and ropes tied to the sides. It takes 5-10 minutes. I’m serious. We traveled with 5 people in our group, and were able to comfortably fit 2 queen sized air mattresses and 1 twin. The tent looks lovely with some little fairy lights on the inside and out. As a seasoned festival-goer, having the perfect tent for various weather conditions is a must. The festival having been in the high desert, it was absolutely necessary that we be cool in the daytime, and warm at night. The roll-up walls make this possible. During the daytime, the walls can be opened up to let the breeze in. At night, the tent seems to retain a very reasonable amount of warmth from the daytime. This tent is completely weatherproof. I mean, entirely. While at the festival, we faced a pretty reasonable rainstorm that created some pretty big puddles of mud around the campsite. The inside of the tent remained completely dry, and the floor of the tent kept all of the ground water out entirely. What’s even more impressive is that we were hit with 20mph winds while we were in the festival grounds. They had to stop the show because the wind blowing the stage elements around became a huge hazard. While the show was stopped, we decided to go back and check the campsite, as when wind happens at festivals, tents usually get completely destroyed and canopies fly everywhere. It’s just something that happens. Upon returning to our campsite, every canopy in our area was completely inside out. Most of the tents in the area had snapped poles sticking out everywhere, and would clearly never be put up again. Our tent was the only one still standing. It had not moved an inch. This thing is a solid, wind-proof structure that will not give even to higher wind levels. Our group stayed comfortable and happy in our tent all week. I am so happy with this purchase and am so, so glad that I chose this tent! I absolutely, 100/10 recommend this to any festival-goer or avid camper. One thing to note, the tent (while easy to re-pack) is HEAVY when it’s in the bag. You likely won’t be “packing in” to a walk-in camping festival without a wagon. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First review November 27 2021 ** For picture references I am 5’7” 216lbs the 6m bell tent weights 110lbs! This beautiful tent is one of the best, beautiful and most expensive tent I have ever purchase, the pole that goes in the middle is extremely tall twice as much as my height. The tent has this canvas like materia, reason why doesn’t feel much like a canvas is do to the waterproof coating it has. The tent looks very thick and looks very resistant I love everything about this tent, I did a mini video review about the features about this bell tent, the only issue some people in the colder areas might encounter is the stove opening is not in a good spot, is on the side and also doesn’t have any type of heat resistant coverage, me living in the Texas area where is hot most of the year is not a problem. I did tested out this tent only for four days, one of those days it rain and I didn’t have any problems, it was very nice inside while outside was about 81 degrees and the tent felt fresh inside, there was a problem where the tent did had condensation inside and I had to bring two towels to dry those areas. But if you buy the top canopy the condensation will be outside of the tent once you cover your tent with the canopy. ... show more

This tent has plenty of space inside it! Living in high elevation and in the mountains of Colorado, we have very extreme climates. I have had a chance to use this tent, so far, only with a Mr. Heater (propane tent heater), and it held heat very good for a tent. I can't wait until this winter to see how this will do with a wood stove! The set up is very easy and this is coming from a first time Bell tent user. Tons of videos about how to do that so I won't bore you with the details. In the pictures I attached you can see that I didn't attach the entry rope, but that was only to show the size of the entry way. It is pretty stable without that guide rope also, and so if it isn't too windy of a day, you could get away without using it if you wanted to. I hadn't ever seen a Bell tent before I began my research into a 4 season tent. I am so glad I stumbled across this style of tent! it is very nice looking, and the material feels like it will last a very long time! The people at Danchel are top notch! I had to contact them a few times, and they are quick to respond and help as much as they can! Their customer service is outstanding! If you are looking at this type of tent, you probably already know that they are not backpacking type tents. The description says it weighs 84lbs, and the bag has handles that feel like it can handle the weight just fine. I picked up the ground sheet for under the tent also, for when it is more serious weather. The ground sheet grommets match up perfectly with the tent stake grommets. This is going to be a fun summer! Lots of questions from other campers when they see this tent going up, and they usually cant believe how fast we are done setting it up. ... show more

Ok this tent is AMAZING! I was definitely worried buying a tent like this from amazon, but I’m so glad we did! My husband and I are both taller (he’s 6’ 7” and I’m 5’ 10”) so it was SO nice to have a tent we could stand up in and move around in! And it was SO roomy! Which was nice. We bought the Teton XXL cots and they fit easily in this tent. We also had some storage bins, a table, and our dogs crate and still had room to walk around and move around. Our first night of camping it POURED rain! We did get some flooding on the floor but that was our fault. We didn’t set it up properly (we realized the next day). So we re-set up there tent and then it worked perfectly for the rest of the trip! The nights got down to 40 degrees and we still stayed plenty warm. The zippers and material all feel very heavy duty and great quality. We won’t be doing any intense camping (like camping in the snow or weather below freezing) so I’m not sure if this tent is suitable for extreme weather. But for family fun and camping in the woods it’s great! I highly recommend and definitely think it’s worth the money. ... show more
