Users have successfully employed them for events, camping, and even as semi-permanent glamping units. They are appreciated for holding up well against strong winds, providing a cooler shelter during hot days, and proving to be almost completely waterproof in heavy rains. However, some minor flaws, such as thin flooring and issues with stitching, were noted.

Pros

  • 🌬️ Withstands 50+ mph winds when properly staked.

  • 🛠️ Easy to set up, possibly even by one person in some cases.
  • 🔥 Retains heat well, offering comfort in cold weather.
  • 🏕️ Ideal for a range of uses, from festivals to glamping.

Cons

  • 🔩 Requires additional purchases for optimal performance (e.g., thicker stakes for wind).
  • ⚖️ The floor material is thin, potentially necessitating extra protection to avoid tears.
  • 👾 Minor design flaws mentioned, such as inconvenient vent access and gaps that might allow insects in.
  • 🧵 Some stitching issues, particularly around the stove hole.

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a durable, versatile tent for camping, festivals, or even setting up a glamping site, and are willing to make small additional investments for comfort and longevity, then yes. This tent seems to offer a good balance between price and quality, making it a worthy purchase despite a few manageable flaws.

  • Good quality durable
Size: 4M=13.2ft Color: Khaki with sealed roof stove jack
The media could not be loaded. I had done alot of research on canvas bell tents and found this one to be in my price range and yet had good quality and the reviews were great . The attached video is how it is standing with 50 plus mile a hour winds. I also purchased the danshel rain fly for added protection aganst the uv rays . It was simple to set up . One recommendation I would make is if you will be in high winds do your self a favor and order 12" stakes. Trust me they will hold the tent down in high winds. We have slept in quite alot. I wouldn't recommend any thing bigger than a full size air mattress in this but I only bought the 13ft. This holds heat very well. I absolutely love this tent. We are excited to use this in November when the snow flies here in michigan. ... show more

  • Solid tent.
Size: 5M=16.4ft Color: Khaki with sealed roof stove jack
I bought this tent to live in for a ten-day long medieval festival. It was amazing. It was easy to put up with three people, and probably would have been manageable with just one. It was roomy and comfortable, and a lot cooler during the hottest, sunniest part of the day than my old nylon tent. It was almost waterproof. During two days of torrential rain the water ran off the tent with only a slight thin mist that was only visible in the beam of a flashlight, enough to dampen bedding but not enough to make cause puddles on the floor. ... show more

  • Great for a Camper or a Glamper!!
The media could not be loaded. Great Yurt, very roomy, super easy to set up, have only desert camped so I’m unsure how it holds up in a wetter climate. The one downside is that the floor is very thin so you will need the under foot or something similar to keep it from tearing, I’d add something inside or no shoes to be safe, that’s why I didn’t give the full 5 stars, only other recommendations I’d make are to grab yourself some extra guy line stakes, ours lasted once, they bent easily pulling them up, outside of that it’s a great buy. We have the 16x16 and easily fit a king and queen air mattress with space for walking and storage and some to spare, the doors are nice, mesh is very thick but still alewives some breeze to Come thru. BUY IT! ... show more

  • Great quality tent!
Size: 4M=13.2ft Color: Brown with sealed roof stove jack
I went camping for a week on the river in December. It was relatively easy to put up by myself and I am 5'4 130 lb. It probably took an hour to set the tent up and get everything set up inside. The center pole was a bit of a challenge because the fabric is a little heavy when the floor is nailed down. I had to sit and use my legs to push the center pole the rest of the way to center but I was successful. The temps dropped to 28 a couple nights. I also had a whole night where it rained really heavy along with strong wind gusts. Not a drop of rain in my tent, and just a little shaking but the lashings held really well. The whole tent was well made right down to the zippers. Heat retention was alot more than a regular poly tent, but I still had to use two heaters because I couldnt close the vents in the top. There are a few flaws I would love to see remedied. One is the vents in the top you cant get to from the inside. You need to go outside and have a long pole or something to try to push the fabric down. There is nowhere to tie fairy lights or something similar up which would be really useful for people that like more light in their tent. The gaps between zippers (different zippers for the door and the side walls) are big enough to let in insects. There are also some stitching flaws. The stove hole stitching is off on the roof. I definitely have respect for this tent. I believe you can actually live in this thing long term and I bought the brown PU coated fabric which keeps it dry and keeps people from seeing all but the faintest light from outside. ... show more

  • Working out great as Glamping tents on our land...
Bought two of the 13' tents for our property because we host a lot of people for various events. They arrived super quickly - within 5 days. We've had one of them up for 5+ months now, the other we put up and take down as needed. We live in San Diego county, CA, so the winter is mild, but one of them has been out through a few heavy downpours, and a few weeks of cold weather (dipping to 40 degrees at night). So far, they've been great. We made them into nicer glamping tents with full carpet (bought carpet off the rolls at Home Depot then cut to size), set up beds on platforms (using bricks and plywood boards as the base, eco bamboo mattresses for the beds), then added luxe blankets, some lighting, table, lamp, heater, etc. We rent them out like an AirBnB. First, there's a ton of room. We set up 2 twin beds on each size in one tent, a queen size in the other. Its perfect for 2 people for a few nights stay. With a plug in heater (we ran power from our garage to the tents with 100+ feet of outdoor extension cords) they stay pretty toasty inside - although on the December nights when it was extra chilly (40 degrees) the people did say it felt too cold and needed a warmer sleeping bag in addition to the heater running. Layers of blankets weren't enough. Nothing inside got wet after the rains, except a touch at the opening bottom where the zipper was (minimal). The only thing is they aren't really meant to be left out year round ---- the one that's been out for 5 months does have some minor black spots and weathering already. I didn't think anything of it until I set up the 2nd tent (that had been in storage) and noticed how much cleaner it looked. Then I really noticed the wear on the one left out. I don't think it will look all that great if I keep it out another year, but the price point is really great so I'm not too worried if I need to replace it. Overall I'm super happy about the purchase. I think if we buy another one I will go with the 16' to make it really spacious, but for 2 people and a simple bedroom set up the 13' still works great. We always get a "Wow, this looks amazing!" when people first walk in. I'll try to post a picture soon! ... show more
