This was the worse purchase I have ever made. I should have sent it back when I noticed a misalignment in the wood seam. What happened to quality assurance inspectors? But after removing the old seat and installing this one I didn't want to replace the old seat again. Not only did the seams come apart and I also had to replace one of the screws holding the lid attached. I used packaging tape to hold it together until I finally replaced this one with one I purchased at a local hardware store. In my opinion this item is crap. ... show more

Only gave 4 stars due to cosmetic issues. The seat has some black smudges under the clear coat so they cannot be cleaned off. Also, the bumpers on the under side of the seat are not pressed on properly. They will eventually break off.

Very Poor quality and not sturdy at all .. it got cracks after 1 month and then got broken into pieces after only 3 months .. noting that it was used in the guests bathroom (which isn’t used too much) and we don’t have a heavy weighted person in house.. I don’t recommend buying it.

Two plastic " Bumpers" under seat where dented when shipping box was opened. The more damaged one fell off within two months. I request new bumpers be sent to me for replacement of these damaged ones MCM

The hinge was incorrectly installed from the factory, when the lid would slide to one side it would fall off, and the plastic nuts used to secure the seat to the toilet did not have any threads in them. Also the plastic washers that center the screws in the holes of the toilet and buffer the metal hardware between the mounting bracket and porcelain were missing, absolutely not in the hardware kit. I ended up purchasing a new brass hinge kit from the local hardware store and mounting it to this seat. Toss the hinge kit it came with straight into the trash can. This was a total pain in the rear! If I hadn't waited a week for it to show up and was desperate to get the bathroom fixed I would have return it. The seat itself appears to be solid even though the finish is dull and inconsistent, if it weren't for the fact that the seat and lid seem definitely would have gone back. Only time will tell there. Spend your money elsewhere because this thing will cost you even more once you receive it to make it work. Terrible! ... show more

I was searching for a wooden toilet seat. This one was good match. The top cover broke in half in about 5 months, hinges lost their color/finish in about 12 months and one of the hinges broke in about 30 months. You can say that for the price, it is bound to happen but finding matching replacement is not easy. Again searching for a replacement. ... show more
