  • Easy set up but
Color: A6+10w
The set up was super easy but i have not been able to connect to my computer nor my phone. The instructions could be better. I didn't know the software and drivers were on the TF card that's inside of the laser engraver. The instructions did not tell me to remove the card and locate the downloads on the card. It is flashes blue. I have contacted support. I will update my review pending outcome. ... show more

  • Great engraver but not easy to use
Color: A6+10w
This is a very large and high quality engraver. I've used it to personalize gifts for my family and friends, and now that I've gotten the hang of it I'm using it more often. Just know that it is time-consuming to set up (there's a great YouTube video that shows how to do it) and it can be pretty challenging to create and program the designs. Definitely test it out on a few sample items before locking in for the actual production. ... show more

  • Easy to setup out if the box.
Color: A6+10w
Instructions were clear , and it worked well for my small projects like coasters and small wood projects . Did some cards too. Doesn’t take up too much space either.

  • More than expected for the price
Color: A6+10w
I have used laser engraver/cutters for a while, but was interested in this one because it has an integral housing and is a very good price compared to many others. My hope it to use it with my battery backup at craft shows. My first impressions are that this is a much better machine than I was expecting for the price. So… here are my thoughts: The Good: This machine came partially assembled, which made assembly a breeze. The plexi surround was a different story, but that’s covered in a different section of the review. The directions are easy to follow and the printer itself only took about 15min to put together. This machine already comes with an air assist kit installed on the laser module. This makes adding air assist so much easier in the future and is something I wish my other laser engravers had this when I purchased them. This machine is compatible with lightburn, so I didn’t have to learn a new software program and can use files that I’ve already created. I’ll talk about the included software below. It also can be used without being connected to your computer. This is great because it allows you to load a file on the microSD, plug it into the machine, hit start, and walk away. The integrated safety cover is a wonderful add-on. It bolts securely to the machine and the whole thing is easy to transport and move around. This is a HUGE value-added piece. It’s so much more convenient than my other engravers that have a separate housing and this machine is much less expensive than other machines with an integrated surround. This machine is as capable as any other 10W that I’ve used and for the price, it’s a smoking deal. The Bad: This machine uses a LOT of plastic parts and I do have concerns about plastic degradation over time from exposure to the laser. There’s no option for tracing or centering unless it’s physically connected to your computer. It’s convenient to be able to engrave from files on the included micro SD, but unless you’ve got the machine placed and calibrated over a grid, you really can’t tell exactly where it will be engraving unless you’re tethered to your computer and using something like lightburn that allows you to trace or find center first. This machine comes with almost everything you need… EXCEPT a honeycomb build plate to protect your surface underneath. Honestly, this is so well priced that it wouldn’t have been a big deal to add $40 to the price and include a honeycomb plate. I have several already, so it’s not an issue for me, but folks who are brand new to engraving might not realize they need this to protect whatever surface the laser is on. Even just a metal plate, which is often included with machines, would have been great. So be aware… Assembling the enclosure took twice as long as assembling the actual engraver. You have to pay very close attention to the directions, which are only pictures. Differentiating between the left and right panels requires a very close study of the images and at one point the directions place the RIGHT panel on the LEFT, which could really mess up the build if you don’t catch it. I also had to take the hinges off that had been put on by the factory because they have been put on backwards. This added some unnecessary confusion and time to assembly. The build area is smaller than I’d like. I’m used to larger build areas being standard in this style of laser engraver. I suppose it’s not the end of the world, but I think folks will outgrow this quickly. Having said that, I plan on bringing this to craft shows to personalize items, so being smaller might be an advantage in some cases. The Ugly: The included software is absolute trash if you want to do anything real with this machine. Ditch it and get lightburn. There are like ZERO branded accessories for this machine. It’s set up for air assist, but you’ll have to do your research to find a compatible one because DAJA doesn’t seem to have one available on amazon. The same goes for an external air purifier. The enclosure has a built in fan that can connect to a purifier, but DAJA doesn’t seem to have their own branded option for purifiers. Same goes for height extenders or roller accessories. Final Thoughts: Overall, I was more impressed with this machine than I thought I’d be. I think it really is great for the price and offers way more than you’ll get from similarly priced machines. Yes, assembly of the enclosure was a pain, there’s lots of plastic, there’s no remote operating remote, it’s on the small side, and you’ll need to buy something to protect the surface it’s on. BUT… It is portable, safe to use without needing extra safety protections due to the integrated enclosure, allows for operation without needing to be tethered to your machine, works well, is lightburn compatible, comes mostly assembled, and is pre-fitted and ready for additional accessories. I honestly think this is a great laser engraver for someone starting out or for experienced users in need of something portable on a budget. It's not quite 5 stars, but man-oh-man is it still an awesome machine. ... show more

  • Great quality laser engraving machine
Color: A6+10w
The media could not be loaded. Pretty simple build took about 45 minutes to build. Good quality construction. Once you learn how to use it becomes pretty easy. It took a couple YouTube videos to dial it in. Has good safety features will not run unless the lid is closed. Doesn’t come with the fan vent so I recommend operating outside. Also only comes with one provided laser head. Works on a wide variety of engravable materials like wood, leather, paper etc. Cool hobby for diy or making gifts. Will connect through your phone via WiFi or directly through your computer. Good value for the price and quality beginner friendly. ... show more

  • I love this thing!
Color: A6+10w
There are so many things I like about this laser cutter and engraver. I'll start with assembly. The instruction manual is very detailed with step-by-step instructions. It helps that everything is machined well and aligns as it should. It took me about 90 minutes to assemble and get it powered up. Next is where I ran into a bit of trouble. I've never used a laser cutter before so all I had to go on is the software suggested in the manual. CutLabX and Grbl. I'm not impressed with either one. I did manage to do my first cut and engrave with CutLabX. But for my purposes, I needed something more powerful. With a bit of digging, I found that lightburn works with this laser cutter. What a world of difference good software makes! There is no type of bed included with the laser cutter, so I inserted a thin sheet of plywood and ordered a honeycomb bed. One downside I have found is that there are attachments for this laser cutter, but I haven't been able to find where to order them. Even the Daja Store site doesn't appear to carry any of the accessories. I'm hoping they will show up sometime soon. The first CutLabX etching is included in the photo that was on a scrap piece of wood. The second was on a wood chip. Safety glasses are also included. ... show more
