Great product
Size: 3000
The best Bait runner reel on the market for the price. The reel is very smooth, and there is no play at all in it.

Landed this 45" striper using the 4000. Drag remained smooth throughout a tough fight

Smooth casting.
Size: 2500
Spooled up with 10 lb spiderwire and a 10 lb flouro top shot with FG knot. Primary target species are large carp and catfish 6 to 15 lb range. The casting and retrieve is super smooth, the drag is phenomenal. A 10 lb common carp in the river is a heck of a good time and on the lighter line really gives the drag a work out. Bait Runner works perfectly but as people have mentioned it is rather quiet, not loud at all, but I think that's why it's so smooth of operation. So far, it's an amazing reel for the cost, caught quite a few nice size fish, paired up with a Bass Pro Shop pro qualifier rod 7 ft med fast action. ... show more

Great Product
Size: 2500
Really a great real and at an affordable price. Daiwa is know for their great product lines and this is no exception. The real action is smooth and has a lot of different features. The bite and run part is great but sometimes there is a little bit of a hang up when reeling to switch the modes, but I doubt you would notice when you hook a fish. There is also a switch that allows the reel to reel in both directions. ... show more

Diawa baitfeeder black widow
Size: 5000-C
I have two 5000c and they are nice reels, smaller and lighter that other 5000 baitet reels that I own with almost as much drag. Line capacity is sufficient especially if you use braid. What I don't understand is the emcast is supposed to be a upgrade to this reel but it's cheaper to buy the emcast? I don't get it? ... show more

Punches above its price range !
Size: 5000-C
Using this reel as a 15 pound monofilament, catfish reel, the adjustment in the bait runner tension is phenomenal and very tunable, on the spot with ease. The drag those still a new reel was very smooth multiple times wet and dry. On a 7 foot 2-3oz rod I highly recommend this reel. It is smooth beyond its price range and very well balanced. That’s my two cents. I hope it helps. ... show more

Good drag system, doesn't clap down unproportionately
Size: 5000-C
I bought this for striper fishing and it did the job. Caught my personal best son far this fall on this reel, a 43 incher. The drag was really responsive and was easy to dail in mid fight. Would definitely buy another
