Wow!!!! what a great product!!! This food dish exceeded my expectations! I love that the stainless steel dishes are removable for cleaning. The size of the food trays are bigger then I thought. It makes it easy for allowing extra water/food to be left in it. Living in extreme cold temperatures, The temperature on this unit is perfect that the water dish never freezes and the food dish also stays warm. The perfect heated cat bowl! Just what I was looking for and more! The bowls are a generous size, easy to remove and clean. Would be nice to order an extra set of bowls. The temperatures were in the low 20’s and the water never froze. The heavy duty cord is long and well protected for the outdoors. My outdoor cat loves that it raises so she can easily reach her food. So glad I purchased it!

Excellent heated bowl that will go perfect with the gallon-ish heated water bowl that we got last year. We have about 10 outdoor kitties that actually go through a lot of food and water everyday. The winter can be especially challenging to keep them comfy and taken care of. It's great that now we can put out some canned food and not worry about it turning into a tuna-sickle in the first 5 or 10 minutes its out there. It's supposed to be 33° tomorrow night ... that will be the first real test for it. The water dish still heats up after being used year-round. I'm confident this one will last, as well. (Although I don't plan on using it year round for food.) (I'd also like to address somebody else's talking about how to keep bugs out of the dish/food. If you don't put this dish out till it's actually cold out, when it's necessary to have a heated bowl, there shouldn't really be any bug problem. What I do during the "buggy months" is place their standard food bowl in the center of a Frisbee with water in it, which works as a moat ... No more bugs in the food! ... But I definitely wouldn't partially submerge an electric bowl in a dish of water.)

I have a community of cats that live in my backyard in Upstate NY. Our winters can be brutal and those babies are in peril everyday. We have numerous insulated and heated houses throughout our yard and on our deck, plus we keep the basement door open for them to come and go as they please (please don't ask me about my heating and electric bill) so warmth is never an issue for them. Food however is tough. I have several heated dog dishes for food and water but they are so large that when I put moist food out it is hard for the cats to get and just dries up, plus cleaning is difficult. I saw this heated, dual dish with removable inserts. OMG, this is perfect! Or do I thought. The removable dishes make it so easy to clean and refill. The smaller size is perfect for moist food, I keep it under a shelter right outside one of the heated houses. Everything was perfect except... It gets so warm the food dries up, literally cooks, and the water evaporated. It has no heat setting so I can't control it. My solution... I created a hot water bath for the food. I put about an inch of water in the dish then float a smaller metal dish inside it. Crossing my fingers this will work! Pros- easy to clean, keeps food and water from feeding, smaller size makes it easier for cats. Cons- too much heat, food cooks to dry and water evaporated.

This is a nice quality product. I like the removable stainless steel bowls which makes them easy to wash. I bought this for the outside kitties and the water does not freeze and the dry food stays warm. It has a nice long cord that makes it easy to plug in.

Works flawlessly with subzero temps. Very sturdy and will not even get blown by strong winds. Strong cord with flex protector and keeps food unfrozen. For wet food will tend to dry it out if not eaten right away. For dry food will help to evaporate moisture to keep it edible even during storms. Put inside an open but covered feeding hut. Grateful to have a quality device to use for such a specific purpose.
