I bought this to make ice for my knee joint replacement recovery. I have been using it for 16 straight days without issue. It might be too small if you want ice for a large number of drinks but it has been perfect for icing my knee.

This ice maker works well as a temporary supplemental ice source for gatherings. The production rate is close to claimed, but in my house, was a minute or two slower per batch. The ice bin needs to be empties every few batches (I would guess about every hour) and ice moved to the freezer or an ice chest, as it fills up quickly and will start melting. Any melting just drips back into the water reservoir, so no leaking on the counter. For a big party or filling up an large ice chest for a bunch of cans or bottles, bags of ice are still the way to go, but if you just need a steady source for filling glasses, this works. I think there are other models available (probably more expensive) that keep the ice frozen, and would be better if you needed constant ice source.

I gave this to my mom for her birthday and she absolutely loves it. She was surprised at how fast the ice cubes were made and love the two bags that came with the ice make to store the ice. The ice maker is relatively quiet, it is easy to use, the ice tastes good and the quality is good.

Kind of disappointed. The great things are that it came very well packaged, no assembly, easy to set up and get going, makes ice super fast. The down side is that it runs rather loud when making ice and the ice becomes more like shaved ice after awhile and not the small nuggets. The ice does stay cold though and it is very convenient. Not sure it is worth the $235. I have had cheaper ones that worked just as well. The blue light is fancy and does match my mini fridge. I have it in the basement so noise is not really a factor.
