Great basket! Looked at and tried some of the trendy options, Wald basket zip tied to a Nitto, Surly, etc. and they all wiggled or were noisy and honestly looked meh with the zipties. This thing is solid. Takes time to get it leveled and installed with a little fidgeting, but nothing as bad as installing fenders. Use a level, tape measure, and take your time. Getting the basket level depends on the length you set the support arms, so just finger tight so you can make adjustments as you go. Did not need a work stand. Fits a couple reusable grocery bags with the net to held them down no problem. Silent. Solid. Sold! Note: Carefully inspect all parts and match to the instructions before installing. The 1st one I ordered had a deformed rubber gasket and needed replacing. Amazon returned and replaced promptly.

My bike is fairly new and has eyelets and a center thru hole. It has no front suspension so the steering is light. So it may take a little getting used to taking off from a stop because of the added weight which requires a little more effort to keep straight when accelerating from zero speed. The quality is very high, there are plenty of fasteners and wrenches provided. But, please note that this basket is very shallow, so what you can carry is limited unless you can find a way to secure it. But it looks great, for a basket and that's kind of the point. If you carry all the time, you might want something deeper, but deeper means heavier (probably).

The product itself seems like decent quality, but the act of putting this together was way more annoying than it needed to be. The fact that they couldn’t decide between the sizing of screws and had to include two different sized Allen wrenches made putting this together obnoxious. Blood was shed. Also, my bike had a screw hole already above the wheel that had its own threading. I ride my bike in all weather conditions, including snow/salty conditions. I’ve had my bike around 2 years before purchasing this basket. The inside of the screws threading on that part of my bike had a little bit of rust on the inside, so I essentially had to thread through the rust with the screw. I was able to use the shortest bolt included for that spot, and didn’t need to use a nut on the back because it had its own threading. I wouldn’t have been able to get a screw through enough to put a nut on the back even if I wanted to. After essentially forcing the smallest bolt through that hole and re-threading the hole, the inside of the bolt eventually wore down enough that the Allen wrench stopped turning the screw anymore and is now screwed in as much as it can go, which is not the whole way, and also cannot be removed either. So now, potentially the most important screw of the whole setup, isn’t fully supporting the bracket that goes under the basket. That bracket is all wobbly because the screw isn’t fully screwed in. I haven’t ridden my bike yet, but I’m guessing it’s now going to make an unnecessary rattling noise while riding, because the bracket under the basket is loose enough to rattle because the screw wouldn’t fully go into the hole. All of this could have been avoided if the screw itself was shaped like the nut to tighten with a wrench instead of completely round and unable to be grabbed with anything to turn it like 2 or 3 more turns. Annoying. Everything else seems sturdy, but we’ll see. I can’t take that bolt out, so I guess it’s there to stay. Just not as sturdy as it should be and will make unnecessary noise because they decided round screws were the way to go instead of something hexagonal.

Will not work with fenders on my bike. It’s possible it may work with your bike but it didn’t work with mine. The part the connects to the bike fork crown has a U shape that presses down on my fenders and made them rub against my tire. Really disappointing because it looks like a good quality rack and it will work without the fenders. I live in the PNW so the fenders are definitely more important for me than the rack. Would recommend if you don’t use fenders!
