  • Mehhhhh but yeahhhh
Color: 01-black With Patch
Seems to be well made but mine was missing a clasp. The main clasp that holds it all together over shoulder area. Lots of room and compartments but almost too many compartments that it was somewhat confusing. The back straps hang down way too low. I do like the fact that several parts are detachable and honestly it’s the first time I’ve ever been able to pack for a 3 day trip with a back pack. I didn’t even fill up all of the compartments either. This backpack could be great especially if you want to use it when not flying and using as carry on because it would exceed the size limit if you wanted to fill it to the rim! Probably be the perfect fall out bag once you got used to it. I rolled all my clothes for travel and I wear thin breathable items and a size medium. (No heavy denim etc..) I was able to fit 1 pair flip flops, 1 pair tennis shoes 4 pair shorts, 4 tank tops, 2 tshirts, baseball cap, 2 pair sleep clothes, 3 pair socks, 2 swim suits, 3 days bras and panties, carton of smokes, small makeup bag, flat iron, 3 ounces of all liquid girl stuff that we need for hair, body and face and what ever else I’m forgetting and it still fit and weighed as a carry on for plane. Was completely full for main compartment but plenty of room left in detachable so and side pockets but wouldn’t have been qualified as a carry on at that point. I also put a small throw pillow under the outer straps to carry. Had I carried it correctly like a back pack should be carried it probably would have been comfortable especially with the waste strap to even put the load. Had I not ordered it 2 days before travel and received 1 day before I wouldn’t have used it but I had no choice at that point. I feel like I still have the right to return it because of the missing clasp. All attachments are very important for a bag with this capacity. Especially if you’re going to fill it to its potential. Didn’t really even realize I felt this good about the bag. I think I’ll actually ask for a replacement rather than return. Just make sure all the clasps are present before you wait too long for return. I don’t give many reviews.. like ever.. but i order a LOT, LOT, LOT on Amazon and felt like I was obligated to give a negative review over a dangerous item and while in my “review status” I scrolled my items, came across this bag and had instant memories of my thoughts of this bag. I guess because of how we feel packing for vacation cause that’s the first part of getting there. Every review is emotional. We should all start taking the time to help each other out with these reviews. So to sum it up, in making the negative review over the unrelated, dangerous item… brought me to an overly emotional review of….. a bag. The moral of the story is… we might need to pack all our essentials up some time soon. JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE CLASPS ARE COUNTED FOR;). Whew.. ... show more

  • Budget-Friendly for any Outdoorsman
Upon ordering this pack I was hesitant about what to expect; I am new to pack owning, yet I am fully aware of the characteristic price range of high quality bags being $100 dollars or more. What I expected from this pack was space and compact storage ability for all of my survival needs as the purpose of this bag for me was to store my Bug-out-Bag items in one durable, compact space. Let me start off by saying that I am satisfied with my purchase. (Despite the fact that I am one of the only people in the review section who was not sponsored for a positive and honest review). The compartments along the side of the bag, paired with the Molle webbing, were what initially perked my interest with the pack. The stitching on each portion of the webbing is strong and evenly stitched, capable of attaching the added compartments with ease. The two side compartments are attached to the bag with long velcro straps, and each of them contain a length of cloth to establish a pocket along the side of the bag. I use one pocket solely for fire starting/water procurement and the other for first aid. The front bag is attached by straps with a metal clasp button that offers it a secure hold on the bag. The interior of the front bag also contains a strap which could be threaded through the top of the bag for support. I have a variety of items stored in the main pocket of the bag including 3 MREs in full packaging, a tall cylindrical 32oz canteen, a 10" bushcraft knife, a folding saw, a water-filtering straw, and a foldable pot. (There is still room for more items.) The fantastic thing about it is that the weight of the pack sits high up on your back, and the pack comes equipped with a chest strap and a weight strap to secure the pack. I have 20 lbs of items placed into the pack and I ran 2 miles with the pack on with no discomfort from the weight. Lastly, the 600 D nylon seems to hold up well and the zippers, although clanky, run seamlessly and hide under flaps of material to keep them covered from the rain. I did not even notice the outer portion that is separate from the main pocket; it was so well concealed by the protective rain covering, I store emergency blankets and a crowbar there. In conclusion I am very pleased with my purchase, it is fantastic quality for the price at which I bought it *ahem 45 dollars* and I would not hesitate to buy another bag from the CVLIFE company. I am pleased. ... show more

  • 72 hour bug out bag
Color: Tan
Well, I bought 4 of these, 3 to make into bug out bags, one as an accident but now in use as my toolbag. I've got no complaints, but can think of some things which would improve it. First is two loops on the bottom. There seems to be no reason for them. Used as lashing points for a sleeping bag, the bag will just swing and unbalance you. And there are no corresponding points to secure it to have the sleeping bag attack to the bottom. So I had to improvise an attachment where the waist belt is attached. Next is the fact there is some wasted space on it, with no zipper to open a decorative section. If there was a zipper, maps and documents could be stashed in it, leaving the maps and documents safe and out of the way. Next, there is no padding on the waist belt. This makes it only suited for short stretches of time. An accessory set of pads would help. Also the waist belt is relatively short. Thankfully the waist belt for the detachable waist bag can be adapted to increase the length of the belt. Last, the secondary compartment is about half the size of the main compartment. Good for clothes and other such items. So, very good for a Bug Out Bag, not too good for long through hikes. ... show more
