Been eyeing the vaultek safe's but couldn't stomach spending $300-$500 on one. Saw this deal and immediately jumped on it, and after being skeptical and setting it up, it's been working great. Biometrics are solid, quick/immediate response and fits my Compact p320 and an extra magazine nicely. also wireless charging worked great, wokeup to a 100% battery on my phone. Overall very impressed for the price point!

This CVLIFE safe is small but mighty. It may not be the size of those large floor safes many of us grew up seeing, but it feels solid, substantial, and well-built. One of its standout features is the biometric fingerprint scanner. First of all, let’s tackle what biometric means. Biometric simply means using your unique physical characteristics to unlock something… like your face or fingerprints. In this case, it’s your fingerprints. You can store up to 30 fingerprints, and once they’re programmed, all you have to do is place your finger on the scanner and the safe unlocks in seconds. If biometrics aren’t your thing, there are two additional ways to access the safe. You can use the four-digit PIN code that you set up, or the included two backup keys. So even if the fingerprint scanner isn’t working for some reason, you’re not locked out. This safe is loaded with features. It includes a display that shows the time, temperature, humidity, and battery status. There’s also an interior light, which makes it easy to see what’s inside in low-light situations. One feature I really like is the wireless charging pad on top, allowing you to charge a compatible phone while keeping it nearby. The safe itself feels heavy-duty and secure. It offers enough room for a handgun and other valuables while still maintaining a relatively compact footprint. Btw, the safe’s keyhole - used with the keys for emergency access, is located on the back of the safe. So, depending on where you put it or where the safe is installed (if at all), that might make access less convenient. But not a dealbreaker, in my opinion. All-in-all, this safe combines security, convenience, and useful features in one compact package. Between the fingerprint access, PIN entry, backup keys, wireless charging, and information display, it offers a lot for the money. I'm overall pleased with this nightstand style gun safe that has an integrated smart phone and smart watch wireless charger built onto the top. It mounts securely to my nightstand and it's a relatively secure way to store valuables and / or pistols away from kids. It's not exactly theft proof and any determined thief with a big enough crowbar would likely be able to pry their way into it. I think the safe is a little over priced and should be about $50 cheaper but I still like it and use it daily. This would make a great gift for anyone with valuables or firearms.

Poor design. The safe is supposed to look like an alarm clock, but the display only goes on when you touch it. Also, to screw it into a surface to secure it requires removal of the drawer and it is impossible to get a tool into the safe to screw it in.

This is a really great safe all around. It's outer metal shell has a really great texture unlike a lot of the other ones that are more of a smooth texture or have the hammered look to them. The instruction manual is very thorough, I'll be at it may take a couple times of reading over it to get a couple of the procedures down because it is so thorough. I did find one part of the print that was wrong in the set up process. That part says that the setting key for setting up passwords and fingerprints is inside the safe under the number four button. The setting key is actually underneath the number three button. This is no big deal because there is only one setting key under the buttons and that one is it but for me it was under three not four again no big deal whatsoever just thought I'd point that out. I like that this safe has a clock a battery power level indicator a lock or unlock indication as well as the room temperature and the relative humidity percentage. This is crucial for some things and adds to the value greatly. The temperature display is spot on accurate with the thermometer in the room that I have it in. The safe has a power adapter that must be plugged in to perform most functions, for example to open the safe to set up fingerprints or passwords and for wireless charging of devices via the wireless charging pad on top. Now speaking of the wireless charging pad it works great. The manual says to use a thinner phone case or take the phone case off altogether, but in my experience I use a rugged phone case that is pretty thick and the wireless charger works flawlessly and quickly I might add with my phone in the case. Now I like this safe a lot so I didn't want to damage it but I did try a few tests on opening it without power and as if I were a stranger trying to gain access. No amount of gripping and pulling would budge. I did some light prying I'll be with little force because I did not want to damage the plastic housing on the door but there was no give whatsoever. I also did a drop test from about 3 feet high onto carpeted surface again not trying to willingly break it but the safe did not pop open and there were no signs of damage. This safe is also mountable via the screw holes in the bottom and the supplied screws. Also included is two keys which will open the safe whether it is powered or not a screwdriver to access the battery door which takes four AAA batteries and is optional for if there is a power outage you can access the safe. The display is rechargeable and works whether you have the safe plug plugged into a power outlet or not. The battery indicator on the display tells you the power of the display itself not the power of the safe. This is the third biometric safe that I own, all three being different brands and manufacturers. I like this one the most. The price point of this one is right in the middle of the other two, meaning I have one more expensive and one less expensive than this particular one but I would trade them both in to have three of these. I was able to comfortably fit a subcompact pistol with light and optic plus several other things comfortably. The reaction time for opening this safe is very quick. I also tried entering the wrong password to see how long it would lock me out. As long as you have some fingerprints set up as well as a password, if you do get the password wrong or forget it and it goes to lock you out simply use a fingerprint and within a second you're in the safe. I would recommend this safe all day long great features very functional great all-around safe. I am very excited about this one.

When I first picked up the box this safe came in I didn't know what it was because of the heavy weight! The 12.75in X 9.4in dimensions don't give you an indication of how heavy this gun safe is. This safe inside it's cardboard box with Styrofoam packing weighs just over 13 pounds! That's impressive! The weight gives you your first impression that this is a well made safe. The battery comes fully charged, as you'll notice when getting the safe out you'll see the face light up when you put your hand on it. You get the keys from the top packaging and find the keyway at the back of the safe. You unlock it and it pops open. It has an interior light that comes on so you can see your contents. At this time it's a box marked "parts." You get the charging cable with the USB plugs on it. You get a wall plug so you can hook it to 120 volt AC. And you get a locking cable for securing your safe so no one can just walk away with it. To get this safe out of your house they'll need to bring some tools and spend some time making a lot of noise. This safe has three ways to access it. Finger print that can store up to 30 fingerprints, so you can imprint every finger you have so you don't have to remember which finger you used to imprint while a crisis is developing. Or use your four digit password code that you set or you can use the included keys. PLEASE do not store them inside the safe. You can use them to open the safe if the batteries run down and the power goes out. You can use this safe to wirelessly charge your phone if it has this option. No more tangled wires and you phone is right beside you on your nightstand.

This is a well-made biometric safe with nice features. It came, well-packaged and protected in styrofoam and was even almost fully charged upon arrival, so you are able to use it right away. I like that it has three distinct methods of opening, although you hope to never have to use the keys, and we just keep those in another location that our kids won’t stumble across. This thing is loaded with features. I like the clock and info display, and the wireless phone/watch charging is a nice little bonus. One feature that is often overlooked (and one my previous gun safe didn’t have) is the handy little interior light that this safe has inside when it is opened. In the middle of the night that definitely is an important feature. This is certainly a solid, well-made product. It’s easy to tell right off the bat when you feel the hefty weight and start exploring the features it includes. Safety and security are no joke when it comes to biometric safes and locking up guns from kids; and this one definitely gets the job done. For the price of this one, it’s excellent.
