These shelf supports could be better described. The wight claim is not properly represented. One of the commenters realized the the claimed weight capacity is only at the vertical attachment to the fixed support. At the end of the support bar it is much less. They are nicely made and operate effectively and for certain applications are fine but will not work for my needs. I will be returning my purchase and coming up with another solution.

Used these for a fold down stainless steel prep counter. Kitchen too small to keep it up all the time. Hinges quite strong, though I used bolts and steel backing to ensure that it didn’t ruin the counter wall to which it attached.

Very sturdy! I ordered the white, 18" folding bracket set. I used my own drywall anchors instead of the included ones. The only difficulties I had were not related to the brackets, but were simply because of my own inexperience and lack of proper tools to figure out where the studs were and other issues with the wall. I could have paid my handyman $100 to come out and do it properly, but in the interest of time and money I did it myself, and I'm decently pleased with the result. I can always have someone re-hang them later if I decide that I want it to be "perfect." The brackets look nice and appear to have a solid baked enamel-type finish. They are bright and the painted finish seems perfect. The folding mechanisms work perfectly. I have no concerns about their ability to hold the weight of the items I am storing on the brackets (which is about 12 pounds.)
