It's resin and looks fantastic, no one is going to know it's not real dragon stone. Mine came packed like it was going to roll down a hill and survive, needless to say it arrived in perfect condition. I'm currently setting up a new black seal 75 gallon to replace a 17 year old tank and this is going to be quite the showpiece.

Good quality, but it arrived broken. It is man made and not real wood however it looks great and realistic. It would have been 5 stars if it wasnt broken.

From another reviewer/with my own opinions added I’ll start with the good: probably the best, most careful packing I have ever seen. Seriously above and beyond. Each piece got its own box and bubble wrap. It's extremely lightweight, looks identical to the pictures, I bought it on sale so I will be keeping. Now the bad. The rocks are fake, have VERY sharp edges, and thin feeling. My fault for not reading more carefully during what would have been a large purchase. Just another heads up as others have written- at this price point one expects real rock, not painted plastic. In all I would say if you get them on sale, don't mind sanding the sharp edges, and don't care if it's fake I would highly recommend this

The rock is not real. However, it is sculptured very well and you cannot tell it is not a real dragon rock. I had been disenchanted with plastic aqua scape pieces after paint flaked off a piece I had purchased at PETCO, revealing white plastic underneath. This piece is a solid color all the way through the material, so there is nothing to flake off. I bought the large rock and the size was as advertised. I replaced four river rocks and it finished off the tank nicely.
