I'll admit, the reviews put me off because I didn't want an umbrella that was difficult to close and didn't last in the wind(because most unfortunately, I broke my last umbrella that way). So I've taken lengths to close it when I feel like the wind is too strong and so far it's been good. Gentle breezes don't break it, and even if the wind is a little too strong the umbrella bends a bit then bounces back. It's easy to open but it does require some caution when closing. The button is secure and doesn't feel like it'll break at any time which is great, but if you have long nails you could definitely struggle a bit. I actually chipped a bit of my nail pushing the button to open the umbrella. Otherwise it's really nice, gets the job done and it's lightweight and better than I thought it'd be. ... show more

This product offers great sun protection but is heavier than expected. I also had hoped it would be smaller when folded, but I did not check measurements before purchasing. I bought it to take to an outdoor festival, choosing this one for the full sun blockage and because it was listed as a "parasol." The music festival defined parasol as not having metal, but I got in with it anyway! Yay! I wish different colors and patterns had been available like in the Totes line. The umbrella has black fabric on an inside layer and white fabric on the outside. It's no different in feel than any normal umbrella, but maybe a little bit heavier due to sturdy construction, automatic button release/opening, and the double layered fabric. I do not find it very easy to close at all, but I use it only occasionally so it's okay with me! ... show more

I ordered this umbrella during July Prime Day. It is very difficult to find compact, push-button umbrellas in Belize. When I saw this one, I read the reviews and added it to my cart. Since I live in Belize, it took a bit of time to arrive along with all the other items I purchased on Prime Day. When I got to the box with the umbrellas (I purchased two, one in navy), this one was in a plastic bag and looked like it had been returned to Amazon. The handle still had the original plastic, but it was clearly not straight from the manufacturer. The navy one I purchased came neatly folded and included a zippered cover; this one did not have a cover. Again, I live in Belize, so an umbrella is imperative. Unfortunately, living outside of the States, I can't just send it back to get a new one. The actual umbrella works great! I love the UV protection, the size, and the push open/push close feature. I would have given it a 5-star rating if it had come new with a zippered cover. Highly recommend it, but make sure it's a new one. ... show more
